I challenged a certain fannation person earlier over this since they had alot to say on other TD's but they havn't accepted so im putting it out for everyone else.

With the latest reports, Iggles DC say he might have samuels shadow T. O. all game. I say he will not be able to shut him down all night. it will take the safety to help out. But one on one, T.O. will win more times than Samuels. T.O.'s taller, more agile, better hands and more ohysical that the smaller samuels.

They are better off starting brown, he's had better games against the boys.

This is a a very interesting topic. Good choice....I had to give it some hard thought In the end, I decided that Samuels can AND will shut down T.O tomorrow night. These teams are bitter division rivals. Which means that Samuels will definitely be trying hard to show that he belongs there.

I pray to god that T.O doesn't start crying again....

Yes i have to agree that these 2 teams are bitter division rivals. No doubt on that fact but look at it this way, this is the same guy who in last years superbowl, gave up a TD to David Tyree, who at the time was pretty much, an unproven wr compared to others in the league. He also muffed a potential clinching INT in the same game, with 2:14 left. If he would have gotten that one, it would have clinched it for the Pats.

Im not convinced that samuels can do it. For one, he give up 5 inches in height, 33 lbs in weight and everybody knows that T.O. is very physical off the line and through his routes. Im not saying that samuels will be shut out but he will not make a whole lot of diffence towards T.O.'s production, UNLESS, he gets help. And that more than likely what Jim Johnson will do.

I would take this, but It's impossible for anyone to shutdown TO, except Cro.

Well first of all.... It's Asante SAMUEL. Not Samuels.

Second... I'm gonna give Buc a chance.

C'mon people. Give the guy a chance to make some arguments.

PackersLP21 - ASANTE SAMUEL will still not shut T.O. out. Besides, i didn't know we were going to get into symantics with the guys name. You knew who i was talking about.

Please...please....PLEASE Andy Reid. I beg you to put Samuel on T.O. in straight up man all night long. As a Cowboys fan, there is nothing I'd rather see than that complete mismatch.

The only way to "shut down" T.O. is to press him at the line and give lots of safety help. If anyone thinks Samuel is going to man up toe to toe with Owens within 5 yards of the line they're nuts. T.O. would treat him like a rag doll if he tried. Samuel will have to play well of the line which plays right into T.O.'s strengths...free release off the line for slants and crossing routes all day long. If the Eagles plan on playing man coverage on Owens, they may as well just forfeit the game now.

Unfortunately Andy Reid knows this so I'm sure they aren't talking about Samuel covering him in man, just shadowing which ever side he lines up on. If they do, I expect Dallas to counter by putting him in the slot quite often.

A lot of excellent comments above. T. O. and Romo will be shut down this year but not by Asante. I don't much like the Cowboyz but they need to face a very physical defense like the G-men. The poor Eagles need a lucky night. Odds are against it.
