Good Luck Dyhard

I'm taking the Buffalo Bills to win the AFC East this year.

They have a really good defense. With the addition of Defensive Tackle Marcus Stroud this defense looks the best it has done in years. They have a very good D line, a very good secondary and a great set of young and fast linebackers.

The Bill defense is giving up just 13ppg and only 247 total yards against per game, good for 5th best in the NFL.

The Bills offense have finally found a QB. Trent Edwards has looked very impressive for them, completing 71% of his passes for 2 touchdowns and no INTs. He also put together a very nice game winning drive last week against the Jags.

They have a very good running game. Both Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson are very talented runners and are pretty good receivers out of the backfield.

They have a very talented OLine lead by All Pro LT Jason Peters.

The Bills Special Teams is among the best in the NFL. They lead the league in return yards per Punt with a very impressive 17.4.

They are owners of a relatively easy schedule (I'll get to that next though).

Good luck Philly.

I'm going to pick the Patriots.

I'll probably get a lot of people disagreeing with me, but I truely believe that the Patriots still will win the division.

The Patriots still have a good defense, a top-rated offensive line from last year, which allowed very few sacks (fewest in the NFL) and they also have good WR with Randy Moss/Wes Welker and others. They have a good running game with Sammy Morris and Marony (spelling).

Matt Cassel has been doing a good job as the back-up QB so far this year. He has a good O-Line to protect him, and he also has the WRs to help him.

The special teams could do better, but they don't really need to work on that.

The Patriots don't have that hard of a schedule either.

Remainder of schedule:

Dolphins -- W
49ers -- W
Chargers -- W/L (doesn't matter)
Broncos -- L
Rams -- W
Colts -- W/L (doesn't matter)
Bills - W
Jets -- W
Dolphins -- W
Steelers -- W
Seahawks -- W
Raiders -- W
Cardinals -- W
Bills -- W

Thy are going to be 13-3. by how my schedule looks.

The Bills aren't going to win the division. They will finsih 12-4.

Forfeited Turn

Alright. If you don't wanna argue, I won't either.

Thanks Dyhard for not arguing...

Back to the Bills and Pats.

The Pats Oline is pretty good, but they didn't not give up more sacks due to Brady's elusiveness in the pocket. Don't get me wrong, he's no Vick but he is very instinctive and can "feel" when the pressure is coming and knows how to avoid it. Matt Cassel does not have this talent yet, they will give up more sacks.

Their Defense is always solid but it seems that their age finally kept up with them. We saw the Pats D grow old right before our eyes against the Dolphins. They used to make adjustments but they couldn't stop Ronnie lining up at QB.

Their offense is not very good without Brady, they still can't run the ball effectively and their starting back is hurt. Cassel can't spread the field like Brady their O has suffered dramatically.

Here is the worst part, Randy Moss. Sure we remember Moss blowing by defenders and having the ball land perfectly in his hands for another Brady TD, but how soon we forget the Moss of Oakland. Alligator Arming passes, just giving up, we are soon to see this Moss.

The Bills found a way to win again, turning up their game when they have too.

The Bills will win the AFC East.

Your welcome. I wanted a fair fight, and hopefully I gave ya one.

Bills/Pats are on the agenda for today.

The Pats have one of the best O-Line's in the NFL, and yes, Brady has some mobility, but Cassel also has mobility and he can avoid the defensive linemen too. He is also able to get away, and that means more protection for the QB, which means less forced throws, which means less INT, which means less turnovers.

The O-Line will still be able to block for Cassel, and their running game will improve this year.

The Defense isn't great, but they are still very talented. The Bills were able to just stay with the Raiders, so the Bills aren't that far ahead of the Patriots.

Rodney Harrison is still on the Patriots, and he is still going strong.

The Patriots get 2 more turnovers per game then their opponents.
The Bills get the same amount as they turn over. That isn't good, and that isn't going to win a division.

Randy Moss had Tom Brady. This year, his numbers will go down a little, but they will still be effective.

The Bills aren't going to win the division. They will loss the matchup with New England over the season, and lose the AFC East to the Pats.

What does that have to do with the AFC North?

Looking at their schedule, it is very easy. I wasn't aware that it was so good before the season, but just glancing at it, I realized how easy it is.

Getting the AFC East in a home-and-home every season has made it simpler for the Patriots... in seasons past. But with the dual issues of losing team leader Tom Brady for the season and every other team in division having upgraded this season in one way or another, it will be harder than in recent years for New England to coast to six guaranteed wins in division. Yes, they also get the NFC West this year... but that's divisional alignment, which means that so too do the Bills... and the Jets... and the Dolphins...

I don't really buy into simply marking wins and losses next to team names as a pertinent argument. Just look at how today is going... as I type this, the Patriots are down 14-6 to MIAMI... I'll wait to vote, and it will come not on today's results but on the quality of the debate... which should be good given the two throwdowners in the ring...

Good luck, guys!

I came home from school with just enough time to put my second argument in, typed it all up, then hit the HUGE Play by play button. The whole argument is gone and all of a sudden I had a forfeited argument up there. Thanks FanNation

I'll be able to make an argument tomorrow.
