Everybody sucks in Ohio now:

The Brownies, Bungles, Indians, Reds, Buckeyes, BlueJackets, MudHens, Zips....hell everybody!

Ohio is on a bit of a bad streak. But I believe one state has it worse. Washington!

The Seahawks are a scheduled game against the Rams away from being 0-3, while having their entire starting receiving core and their mothers out with injury, leaving the already injured (and bald) Hasselbeck with no one to throw to. Add in the fact they're in 3rd place in quite possibly the worst division in NFL history, things aren't looking so bad in Ohio

The Mariners are about to close out a season just as dissapointing as the Indians.

Washington and Washington State only wish they could play USC close enough to lose 35-3

And the Sonics...... oh wait, Seattle dosen't have an NBA team anymore. You can now catch Kevin Durant and co. in Oklahoma City.

Ohio has LeBron, which is A LOT more than what any team from Washington can say.

Also, an NFL team from Ohio is GUARANTEED not to be 0-4 tomorrow

1st of all, Ohio is a HUGE sports state; people live and die by how sports teams do there. They have every major sports team represented there and huge fan bases, so when times are bad like now, it is a much bigger deal for the fans.

In Washington, people would just as well go canoeing or pick apples in a field than watch sports. Seriously, do you think Washington fans are suffering 1/10 of what Ohio fans are suffering through now.

Just in football, the teams are 0-6 and EVERYBODY in Ohio expected the Brownies to go to the playoffs.

The Indians were supposed to be SURE FIRE AL Central winners this year...

Ohio State was SUPPOSED to win a National Title.

Dude it just sucks so bad to be a fan in Ohio now... NO one is close when it comes to disappointment now.

That 2nd argument was a waste. This TD topic isn't about who has the more passionate fans, it's about which state is the worst to be a sports fan of right now. Ohio could be the biggest sports state is the country, but that doesn't at all indicate that their state is worse than Washington's.

Everyone in Ohio probably expected the Browns to make the playoffs, but almost everyone in the country thought the Seahawks would breeze throught their division, but they now sit in 3rd place behind two very mediocre teams.

The Indians were a dissapointing squad, no doubting that, but the Mariners, who nearly made the playoffs last year, finished in last place FORTY GAMES under .500. FORTY!!!! 39 behind the Angels, and finished with the 2nd worst record in the entire MLB!!! The Indians have a Cy Young Ace in their rotation, and at least finished at .500.

Ohio State was supposed to contend for a title, not actually win it. Nobody thought they would win in USC, and even before that, nobody thought they would actually beat an SEC team in the BCS Title Game. Washington and Wash. State only WISH they could be in discussion for a championship.

Forfeited Turn

O.k. great. Not only does this guy give short and bad arguments, not only does he forfeit turns, but he is a cheater. Pitt Panther exposed him as you can easily see below.

Just as a recap, Ohio has LeBron and the Cavs, Washington has NOTHING!

Thats all I've got, since cheater on the left never gave a 3rd argument

Worst state to be a sports fan in right now: North Dakota. What have the Fighting Sioux done for me lately?

September 28, 2008  08:42 AM ET

Surprised me with better args, Ohio is bad but they have good college teams

September 28, 2008  10:50 AM ET

The Indians have been playing great ball as of late, also have a pitcher with a 22-3 record.

September 28, 2008  10:53 AM ET

Oh yeah, and the Zips clobbered Syracuse on the road!

September 28, 2008  10:53 AM ET

Minnesota or Ohio.

What does clobbering Syracuse have to do with anything. Living 15 miles from the SU campus I can tell you. Regardless of the Yankees Championships the G-men being undefeated, the jets getting Favre, And the mets being on playoff brink.....The Orange still make it almost embarrassing to say I'm from NY.

September 28, 2008  12:10 PM ET

Wyoming... all they have to live for is Cowboys teams... which are perpetual bottom-feeders of the MWC...

September 28, 2008  12:19 PM ET

I dunno Bigalke... the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks did suffer a devastating sweep in the Northern League playoffs...

"The Seahawks are a scheduled game against the Rams away from being 0-3,"

A couple problems with that statement: We are in week 4. The Seahawks are on a bye this week. Rams play the Bills this week.

September 28, 2008  08:01 PM ET

^ What I meant was, if the Seahawks hadn't played the Rams in week 3, they most likely would have been 0-3 right now
