ravens are a good looking team despite having a rookie quaterback. there defense is playing well and the rookie is doing an exceptional job. there 2-1 and secound in there division with the number one defense

Anyone remember those Mad TV sketches where pitiful losers make dating videos for the dating company "Lowered Expectations?" For some reason that's all I can think of when you describe Joe Flacco as "exceptional."

Really? Exceptional?

So a guy with an average stat line of 15/26 for 150 yards, 0.3 TD and 0.7 Int for a QB rating of 65.9 (27th in the NFL) per game is exceptional?

Over 16 games that would be 2400 yards, 5.3 TD and 11.7 Int. Better make room on the Pro Bowl roster!

Now let's talk schedule. The Ravens two wins were both at home against the Bengals and the Browns. Those teams are 1-7 and only have a win because they played each other. Let's look at some teams left on their schedule: Tennessee, Indy, Giants, Philly, Dallas, Jacksonville, Washington, and Pittsburgh again. They won't be favored in any of those games.

What I really love about your argument is this part:

"there 2-1 and secound in there division"

Second in their division? I may be incorrect, but don't you need to be, you know, first in your division to win it? Last I checked, Pittsburgh was sitting in first in the AFC North, and they got there by beating Baltimore and their "exceptional" qb.

Forfeited Turn

Well, clearly I am arguing in vain now, since there is no coming back from the fierce rebuttal I was just lashed with. But here it goes anyway.

The Ravens defense looks good now, but they looked good last year until the grind of the season wore them down. Let's face it, they're not the youngest bunch in the NFL, heck a few of them are AARP members, and they have to play 15 games in a row with no bye week this season. They have questionable depth on D and when injuries hit they may revert to the mediocre bunch they were last year.

They also have big, big problems on the O-line. Both of their starting tackles have injuries (that's after Ogden retired). They were passable against Cleveland and Cincinnati, since neither of them have any pass rush whatsoever, but they were exposed by Pittsburgh allowing five sacks and having Flacco put the ball on the ground multiple times including one that was returned for a TD. Any team with a pass rush will tee off on their rookie QB.

Forfeited Turn

Well, at least you gave it your best effort. Good luck, ravens fan.

Homer or not, his first argument crushed the other guys first one. Leaning right, will wait for more debate.

Yeah, but Ram is notorious for starting strong, then fizzling out like a wet firecracker.

Flacco's stat line is exceptional....for a Baltimore Ravens QB. A quarterback on any of the other 31 teams in the NFL would get benched. Baltimore's offense since their inception has required the QB to only be a babysitter, you don't have to win the game for us, just dont screw it up. Flacco is putting up Trent Dilfer type numbers and they won the Super Bowl with that guy. All that being said, I still voted right because Pittsburgh is better.

Pitt fans should get over themselves. They only beat the Ravens on an OT field goal, and that's after the demoralizing 14 point swing when Baltimore was up 10. Its a real fight for the division this year. In the end it doesn't matter, because they'll all fall to upstate NY this year. Go Buffalo! Make it 0-5!

what awards do you get for winning 59 minutes of a game and trailing for the last minute?

A Loss.

Ray Lewis Smashmouth football is back! He cracked Mendenhall's shoulder on the tackle! Unbelieveable! Flacco looked good, but I am not sure of winning the division? I vote yes, cause I want to see it!

While I'm not a Pittsburgh fan, I can say at least Pittsburgh homers root for a pro team. When do the Bengals play Vick and the rest of Leavenworth?
