Wait a minute, Steve Smith has no one to throw to?!? What are you on! Steve Smith is a wide reciever, and he has Jake Delhomme throwing to him, who is a decent, mid-level starting QB, better than a lot of guys out there. They also have the great rushing combination of DeShaun Foster and their 2nd year RB, DeAngelo Williams, who I really think has a lot of potential. I don't understand how you can say the Panthers defense has no help to give Peppers, either, because they are at least one of the top 10 defenses in the NFL. They have a good chance of making the playoffs this year.

What are you talking about! You said that Steve Smith has nobody to throw to, meaning he is throwing to someone, which is what a QB does! DeAngelo Williams is not overrated, DeShaun, maybe, but Foster, no. Jake Delhomme is better than a lot of the starters out there. I mean, come on, Tavaris Jackson on the Vikings!? Peppers is not a wuss and is the best defensive player in the NFL, in my opinion, or at least close to it. The Panthers have a good chance at wild card this year. You are new to this, aren't you?

The Panthers have a good shot at the playoffs for these five reasons.
5. Steve Smith will carry a passing game that is at least average, and Keary Colbert, Drew Carter, and rookie Dwayne Jarrett can switch at the #2 spot, to give some trouble to opponents.
4. No matter how overrated you say they are, DeAngelo Williams and DeShaun Foster is still a great power back-speed back combo. Foster can get in between the tackles for the whole game, and Williams can make big plays when he needs to. He's also a decent kick returner.
3. Their defense is one of the top 10 in the NFL, and Peppers anchors one of the best D-lines in the game. Their special teams isn't that bad either.
2. They don't have a good division. Two years ago it was the best in the country, but things are different now. The Falcons are in disarray after the Vick scandal, and the Buccaneers are simply not a good team. The only team left to challenge them is the Saints.
1. And the #1 reason why they could easily make the playoffs...they're in the NFC! No explination needed.
There, I gave you five good reasons. I think this throwdown is effectively over.
