Even though the Pats coach was caught cheating his team will still prevail & win the super bowl this year.

Everyone has to realize that yes (big bad bill) cheated but he is not the one on the field this team has to much talent to just fall on their faces over some video crap they are the ones who do all the work billy just tells them what they SHOULD do not HOW to do it Brady by far has been the best QB in the league(F***! payton manning)in the last 6 years thats not gonna stop all of a sudden. Their defense is even better than last year & their receivng core has been upgraded drastically.

Although the Pats have looked strong this regular season, they cannot be the favorite in my opinion. 1st off, Brady hasn't been the best QB over the past 6 years, Peyton has. Peyton exceeds Brady in every stat and when the Colts defense finally played decent, the Colts won the SuperBowl. Their defense is aging and injury prone.

The Pats have a decent chance to win the Super Bowl but saying they WILL is a bit of a stretch.

Yeah stat wise manning is the winner but winning three rings speaks for it self payton had every chance to win several rings & could'nt do it brady did it with a bunch of no names a hand full of stars payton had james, harrison, wayne, clark brady had givens, brown, atwan smith, branch. im not saying that the colts don't have chance its that this year brady has the right weapons & that defense once bruschi gets everybody on the same page its gonna be very difficult to beat the pats

The Pats had a star studded defense everytime they won in case you didn't know that.
Richard Seymour was the highest paid defensive player ever a few years ago.
Bruschi and Vrabel were in their prime back then.
Rodney Harrison and Ty Law were great back then too.

Who did Peyton have on D besides Freeney?

Brady has had Super Bowl Caliber defenses behind him for years. Peyton has had scrubby defenses that let him down.

This year, the Colts D shut down the num. 1 offense in the league last year.

Its amazing how a team can be very dominant one week and so-so the gollowing week the colts defense had a hard time with the unstoppable (Titans)today do you think once they face a real offense it will be the same as last week or will they play like today im still not convinced that the colts defense is for real at least in new engalnd we know what we have.Plus the colts never wanted to spend money on a defense instead they nchose to give all the money to manning thats why they will not win another anytime soon.

The Pats always spend their money on defense and never wanted to build through the draft for offense.
I have one question. The NFL thinks that the Pats are geniuses no matter what they do.

Two years ago when the Redskins went out and pretty much bought the free agent market, everyone said they were stupid and shouldve built through the draft.

When the Patsies do it, their geniuses!! I just don't get it.

The Colts have owned the Pats lately also. Just to let you know.

Sportshac, if Caldwell doesn't drop those 2 passes, New England very likely makes it to their 4th superbowl this decade.

I still think they're favorites, although the Colts aren't far behind at all. If their defense continues to play like they did vs. the Saints, then they have to become the favorites.

September 16, 2007  11:38 AM ET

I think the Chargers
they made the Bears look like the texans....

September 16, 2007  11:39 AM ET

Dude, you lost me as soon as you said Brady was better than Manning.

By what measure of the imagination did you conjure this up?? Show me some statistic that proves Brady is better...and you can't use "rings" because TEAMS earn those...

September 16, 2007  11:52 AM ET

Brady has a better history than Manning.
Brady is better in a clutch situation.
Manning has the stats.

Thats the way I put it. I do indeed think Tom Brady is the better QB, BUT his argument for him was nothing...

They are the odds favorite in Vegas, and on paper are the scariest team since the 'Boys of the early '90's. This whole advanced scouting, umm, I mean cheating, thing is blinding non Patriot fans and that is a good thing for the Pats, bad for everyone else. After tonights 31 - 10 win, everyone will look dumb.

September 16, 2007  12:45 PM ET

efbasketball is dumb as ****. LT had a 1.5ypc avg last week. How is that Texans - like???? They scored 14 points. How is that impressive?? SD looked rusty, they just happened to play a bottom 3 team, offensively.

September 16, 2007  01:01 PM ET

MadMax, they went up against a great D in Chicago, though. I see LT and Rivers doing better this game, and scoring between 17-28 points.

September 16, 2007  01:56 PM ET

The D in New Endland ain't bad either Jesus. It will be up to Rivers to score those points because I see them not being able to run against the monster front 7 of NE. While I agree the Bears have a better overrall D, I give the Pats the edge in the run stopping game with Thomas, Vrabel, Wilfork and Bruschi. And Jarvis Green will have his coming out year with Seymour on the shelf. He had 9.5 sacks last year off the bench, and 1.5 against the Jets.

*New England. Sorry lol

September 16, 2007  02:30 PM ET

LOL, they were the favorite before and after this incident.

September 16, 2007  07:15 PM ET

Detroit fan, I'm a Michigan man too and even drank beer with Tom Brady at one of his parties. He'd be the first to tell you that Peyton is and will be the best of all time. Sorry brother, gotta go with Sportshac.

September 16, 2007  07:16 PM ET

The Colts will beat the Patriots for the fourth and fifth straight time this year. CHEAT OR NO CHEAT!

September 16, 2007  07:17 PM ET

Maybe the Colts would be working on their fourth Super Bowl had Beelicheat not cheated?
