boise state went undefeated two years ago and didnt win it all. how is that fair? if they knew that even if they won evey game before hand, why even bother? every team deserves a chance

As this is true, are you telling me that Ohio State and Florida didn't deserve to go. OSU and Florida were dominating all year, had the quality wins to be where they were. Boise State did a great job and was able to play in the Fiesta Bowl. But I don't think they would have had a chance against either OSU or Florida. You can say the same thing about UTAH when they played Pittsburgh a few years ago but I bet they were just as happy to attend any BCS bowl game and win. That was their national championship and I bet they wouldn't give it back.

how would you know that boise never played either one of them
i think if more than two teams are undefeated there should be a playoff
in that situation florida vs. boise winner plays OSU

If their should have been a playoff, it would have happened in 2004 where all this started. Their were 5 undefeated teams that year and they choose USC vs Oklahoma. Utah played Pitt and whooped them. Auburn played in the Sugar Bowl. Boise that year played Lousiville and lost. So by your standards, they should have played 3 games to determine who would play USC, but I think they were happy to be playing after the reg. season. Unless sometime soon they figure how to use a playoff system like div 2, their won't be any playoff.

in that case yes there would be three games to decide who plays USC
its only fair
imagine in the NFL if just the 2 top teams played for the Super Bowl
imagine NCAA basketball with no march madness just the top two teams, no geoge mason
does that sound fair?

Can you imagine what would have happened to the Steelers if they did not have playoffs in the NFL in 2006?

Boise State is a good team but they didn't play the teams Michigan, Florida and OSU played. OSu played Michigan and it was a 3 point game. Florida and Michigan could have both been in the championship. Boise state just isn't good enough. Period

When Boise St wins one game against a ranked team...as the last gaem...yor not going to get a bid...not to mention they are in the WAC CONFERENCE...ITS CALLED wac FOR A REASON!

so if any team in the wac conference wins all there games, who cares?
if thats the case they should have their own playoffs

Honesty is always the best policy.

Since my daughter hit the submit button for me, here is what I say for my last argument. Its not fair for 3 games to be played and to risk key injuries against a team that doesn't have to play again until the National Championship, how fair is that if the starting QB or RB get injured during one of those games?

Kiddies, Division I-AA uses a playoff system just like Division II and III.
Witness: James Madison University (an hour from my place) winning in 2004.
THIS is what D-I needs. Plain and simple.
32 teams...NOT 64, NOT 16...32!!!
End of discussion.
