This sunday the 8-0 Patriots take on the the 7-0 Colts in Indianapolis.

The Patriots have score on a record clip. While the Colts have gone under the radar and haven't lost a game since Week 16 against the Texans last year.

Both quarterbacks, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, are the best ever in the Salary cap era. Both have won super bowls, Brady 3, Manning 1.

Therefore I see both teams will score 30 points or more. Neither defenses can stop the other team's offenses. They can only contain them.

It will come down to which offense will have the ball last. And which defense can make a play and force some turnovers.

On paper your would appear to be right. The reason you make this TD is the exact reason it is wrong. You cant disrespect either of these D''s and not expect them to get up for a rivalry like this.

1. Dungy is arguably the best defensive mind of this era.
2. The Pats have quite the roster on the D side of the ball.

Those are the 2 reasons both wont break 30.

Atleast one of the 2 defenses step up in this situation. The winner may score 30, the loser will not.

The NFL has change rules to benefit the offense.

While defenses still win championships, offense is what everybody wants to see.

Both the Patriots and Colts have future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. They also have weapons that can make plays.

The Patriots defense is not as good as it used to be. The Colts defense is good but not great.

That's why both teams will score 30 or more points.

I dont think so. There is no argument, i guess i could do stats to show avg league scores but I think its unnecessary

Bottom line is that the winner may very well eclipse that mark. Both teams will not.

The Final score of this game will not be 7-3. So I can guaranteed you that this will not be the final score.

Here's the thing, neither defenses is going to stop the other team's offense. Both offenses will go up and down the field all day. Both punters should stay home because not a lot of punting will occur.

It would not surprise me if both teams score in the 40's.

Noone said 7-3, Both offenses will not go up and down the field all day

When the f- have 2 teams been in the 40's in the NFL?

damn you Mr Anderson beat me to it........ well we dont know if the defenses con stop the other team because they havent played each other....but we know they DO have D, ranked 3rd and 4th in yrds per game and allowing just 14/15 pts per game

Which radar have the Colts been going under?! They are defending champs and undefeated so far, I think everyone realizes that.

Patriots: 34
Colts: 24

They will both score, but one team will prevail and stop the other team's QB.

The advantage will shift to the Colts who have one super great defensive back....whom I do not even have to name.

October 29, 2007  01:36 PM ET

deciding factor in this game....Defense...who'll be able to stop who...i think the Pats have an edge

October 29, 2007  01:51 PM ET

These teams probably have the two greatest QBs of all-time. They have two of the best wide receivers of all time. Great offensive lines. Great running backs.

Colts-21
Pats-17

Oh my god, Dungy is arguable the best defensive mind of this era? In what universe? He's been with the Colts for how many years? 6? And how many years have they had a top defense? Maybe 2? If he's such a defensive supermind, why in the world is Indy only known for its offense? He had Kiffen in Tampa.....who IS THE BEST DEFENSIVE MIND OF THIS ERA....no arguably about it.

'These teams probably have the two greatest QBs of all-time. '

REALLY, Montana is playing again? SWEEET!

October 29, 2007  02:07 PM ET

Pats have a great running back? IS that Morris or Maroney? :-)

October 29, 2007  02:10 PM ET

did you watch the playoffs last yr, gruden? b/c thats when the defense counted and thats when they showed up

October 29, 2007  02:21 PM ET

Defense only counts in the playoffs? Hmmm, very interesting.... :-)

October 29, 2007  02:51 PM ET

...if that's the case, since this isn't a playoff game coming up against the Pats, the Colt's D doesn't need to show up since it's just a regular season game and only playoffs count? Pretty sure the Pats will score 30 or more if THAT happens :-)

October 29, 2007  03:16 PM ET

no, thats not the only time it counts, but if they had played d in the div game like they did in wk6, peyton would not have a ring, meaning when it was on they stepped it up, if they got a step up its coming sunday

October 29, 2007  03:33 PM ET

i think this will surprisingly be "low scoring" - mid 20's
