Tony romo is worth more than what he was given in his contract....

I think Tony got exactly what he was looking for, 6 year $69 million (31 guaranteed). Now he doesn't have to take Carrie Underwood, Sophia Bush or Britney Spears to McDonalds for dinner. Their are probably incentives within the contract to get him more but we will never know, so for now its what he signed and apparently asked for.

i havent even put an argument out and theres 11 votes to you why even TD if ppl dont even listen to the arguments....
Anyways Jamarcus Russell comes into the nfl with a guaranteed 31 million...and hasnt veen proven himself yet Romo who has proven himself so far last seaosn and this season is signing to what is equal to Russell....

He deserves more must for being linked with Britney.

Sorry Teemo, it's a little too early to make that type of remark. Let's see how the rest of this season goes.

ESPN is saying that he is only 4 or so million under what Peyton Manning makes. Not too shabby for a guy that has yet to have a full season at QB. But there is no way he should get more than that. Save some money to buy a holder for those tricky field goals.

By the way, Jonesy is a no-poker playing man loving sissy boy. Just in case you were wondering.

October 29, 2007  06:56 PM ET

Or he's a good friend of mine who has a hot wife. You decide.

October 29, 2007  06:59 PM ET

Worth more? um no...worth less is more like it. he is making almost as much as Manning..definitely not even in the same class!

Gruden, you on AIM?

October 29, 2007  07:01 PM ET

I'm at work. Still. Because unlike you...I have a job.

October 29, 2007  07:02 PM ET

And a poker tournament at 7, so no need to go all the way home just to drive back.

October 29, 2007  07:03 PM ET

I have 42 days of leave to take, what do you expect. Wings tomorrow and I'm already on AIM and playing poker

October 29, 2007  07:10 PM ET

You're playing free poker. All it costs you is time. If I don't fix a leak in my game, I'm playing for grocery money tonight.

October 29, 2007  07:14 PM ET

SInce I'm on vacation, I can blow that time doing this

October 29, 2007  07:35 PM ET

6 years, 67 guys.....

October 29, 2007  07:37 PM ET

They overpaid him, he was worth 8-9 mill at most......He's playing great but if he turns into a 1 and out every year, 11 is too damn much.....

October 29, 2007  07:37 PM ET

on ESPN.com it has 69 on ESPN News its 67.5, which one would you go with

October 29, 2007  07:52 PM ET

both numbers still makes him over paid

October 29, 2007  08:48 PM ET

29 mil...over 6 years with 61 million...my bad...and he hasnt even taken a snap....wow and who's to say romo is paid fairly...or even and decent qb for that matter!

October 29, 2007  09:29 PM ET

October 29, 2007  10:12 PM ET
