i say that if the NBA screened for MARIJUANA the League would self destruct and they would have to suspend half the league

they all smokin' blunts

They do test. Here is the NBA's Drug Policy of marijuana:

If a player tests positive for marijuana for the first time during Reasonable Cause Testing, First-Year Testing, or Veteran Testing, or he is convicted of, or pleads guilty, nolo contendre or no contest to, the use or possession of marijuana in violation of the law, he will be required to enter the program. A second such violation will result in a $15,000 fine and the player's re-entry into the program. A third (or any subsequent) such violation will result in a five-game suspension and the player's re-entry into the program.

Basically, a 3rd conviction is the only one that results in suspension, so half the league would have to fail the test 3 times.

no you dont understand i know the rule im saying if the nba tested the players sure they have a lient rule in place but they rarely if ever test cause they know whay would happen if they did over half the league are pot heads thats why the rules are so lienient i cant spell that word dude lol if they tesy like the nfl you would be watchin guys of the street play in the nba

they test marijuana just as often as any other drug...the tests are once a month, and coincidentally, thats how long it takes for marijuana to get out of the system. NOT THE EFFECTS OF THE MARIJUANA, but it still stays in the bloodstream that long. I know because my high school football team does drug testing very similar to the NBA

lol you dont have any idea do you ? they do not test 1 time a month that would cost zillions of dollars and lots of time this is big business and the nba is not going to bring themselves down they make the rules and they inforce them as they see fit. Dont resort to lieing to win an arguement you cannot support

thats not a lie. that information i got was directly out of the football packet given to us before the year. it incldes other things too, like information on concussions and preventing them. its a general handbook given to us, hell if you really want ill try and fax it to you. but the packet has a section on drug testing in high school and in professional sports, and i state word for for: "Though drug tests are performed to a higher degree in professional baseball and football players, other sports such as professional basketball and track and field test similarly. Basketball players go through tests, sometimes once a month, to detect the usage of anabolic steroids and/or the usage or illegal substances???it goes on to talk about track?????? Its copyright date is 2001 if that means anything

like you said earlier, its a business. the mlb, nfl, nba, etc. are all businesses. They dont lack in money, and they do the neccissary precautions to keep it a safe business. Why are there drug testings in any sport? yes it costs a lot of money, but its for the better of a sport. A sport isnt going to not drug test because its expensive. thats rediculous.

right about what? that half the league would be suspended if they drug test, which they do? no. youre wrong about that. im sorry. there have been only a handful of suspensions, because thats a third time offense. to say that half of the nba would fail the same drug test three times is rediculous.

Actually the NBA players don't take as much drugs as you think.
