5. Shawn Kemp on Golden State
4. Starks on Chicago
3. Dr. J on Lakers
2. Jorden on Ewing
1. Carter on French 7 footer

Okay, ill take Kevin Johnson over Hakeem. This was one of the sickest dunks of alltime. KJ, weighing 180 pounds at 6'1, dunked over arguably one of the greatest centers of all time. This game was in the playoffs, too, where everything was on the line.

I agree that Carters dunk should be up there, but not #1. The dunk was amazing, but he did it against a no-name guy. The National French team att the time of that dunk wasnt anything special, so i Will rank the following:
5. Starks
4. Jordan on Ewing
3. Kevin Johnson over Hakeem
2. Carter
1. Kemp
honerable mention: T-Mac over Bradley

But if you take Carter's dunk the sheer atleticism of it puts it at the top. From where he took off, to just getting his entire body at about 6'10, the dude ducked a little.
Why os Kemp number 1 on you. He had the force but his was never anything to special.
Ill agree with KJ over Hakeem that it was good, but with so many other great ones it just can't crack the top five.
\
Where is Dr. J? From where he took off to just the grace and power of combined put it up there.
awc1230 said 11/12, 02:13 PM
Dr. J's dunk was a fastbreak dunk. I really dont think a fastbreak dunk should be on a top 3.
Kemp is number 1 on mine because he threw this dunk down with so much authority. Go watch it. I dont see how he is number 5. I looked at each of your to 5 and just couldnt say any of them were better than Kemps.
So many players have sheer athleticism. If wanted to do dunks by athleticism you could go look and an And-1 mixtape or a dunk contest. iF THIS WERE THE TOP 5 MOST ATHLETIC DUNKS, than yes, Carter would be #1.

Kemp us never anything too special? Are you crazy? Kemp dunked on ANYONE, even when it didn't appear he had a chance. He's easily right up there with Wilkins and Jordan.

Frederic Weis probably would not want his being dunked on as the best dunks of all time. It's good but not number one over all.

Yeah.. TC jumped over Marc Jackson at a game here in PHX. I was there, and that dunk was huge. He was WAY up there!

Carter over Weis is the best dunk ever. Weis is 7'2", and Carter jumped over him. Seriously, regardless of athletic ability that is ludicrous. What I want to know is did Carter actually PLAN on jumping over a seven footer, or did it just kinda happen? I mean, who seriously barrels down on any player, let alone a 7'2" guy, and thinks "well, if he's still in my way when I get there I'll just jump over him and dunk it anyway?"
