Lions will be at 6-4 after that, then they have Packers twice 6-6,Cowboys 6-7,@Chargers 6-8,Chiefs 7-8.They could lose one but!The Vikings are 11-0 @home against the Lions 1997 -2006 and16-3 last 18 games vs Viks.

I see what you've put for their remaining schedule and I see a few games that they can win. We don't know what Lions defense will show up against the Giants (if its the defense that showed up against Denver, that is a win for Detroit). I think they can split the series between the Packers but it will likely not happen. I agree with you on the Cowboys game...after watching the Chargers game this past weekend, the Lions could beat them without having to make a huge comeback. Again, agree with the win against the Chiefs...and against the Vikings. Have you been watching the Vikings play, if AD isn't playing by this game, its going to be pretty much a gimme game (since the Vikings have zero offense without AD and Detroit isn't really a running team so the Vikings run defense won't come into play). If all this above happens they will finish 10-6 but their are alot of weeks left in the season for things to happen.

The throwdown was IF THEY LOSE TO THE GIANTS.They are 6-4.Then Play it out.
Jonesy: 49ers 4-8 said 11/15, 12:36 PM
If you read, I did play it out. Lets say they lose, they play the Packers next (at home), I said they could split the season series between them and that would mean W at home and L at GB. At the Vikings, if AD is healthy very difficult win but if not very easy win (I say they win anyway). Cowboys come to town and thump them plain and simple. Travel to San Diego and I will give the Lions a win here unless something happens between now and then and they get a whole lot better. Chiefs will be another easy win unless LJ decides to wake up. Then at GB (read above on what I said about this game).

Lions needed OT to beat the Vikings at home by a FG. I could care less who the QB is who the running back is.The Vikings have there # @ Home.11 games in a row.

This year is different (as seen by the Lions and Browns). The Vikings will not beat the Lions again this year unless they have an established QB at the helm and AD running the ball all day long (they held him to 66 yards that game). The Lions aren't going to run away after/if they lose to NYG this weekend. I right now and jumping onto the Lions Bandwagon, join Kitna that they will win 10 this year and be in the playoffs.

I really don't trust that Lions defense. When teams turn the ball over (Oakland, Minnesota, Bears x2) they look great. But when teams like Washington and Philly didn't hand them the ball, they got smoked. They're 24th in points allowed, 26th in total yards per game, and 30th in passing yards per game. The only bright spot on the D is the rush D, which is 8th. They need turnovers to stop other teams, and when they don't get them, they really struggle.

We saw a worse defense last year before they went on to win the Super Bowl (not that I'm say Detroit will go all the say to Arizona) but their have been worse.

Yeah, the Colts had a bad run defense before the playoffs, but they turned it around and played terrific the entire post season. It's not like they won the Superbowl with a crappy defense. They fixed it, which is exactly what Detroit has to do before they're true contenders.

I just don't see how losing or winning the Giants game has anything to do with them beating Minnesota or Denver.
