After yesterday results in which Barry Bonds was indicted by the federal government, Bonds will NEVER EVER be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

We all really know that Bonds has done steroids.

Bonds unknowingly took steriods according to the leak grand jury testimony in the BALCO case.

His friend and personal trainer, Greg Anderson, was link to BALCO.

And the book "Game of Shadows" details when Bonds took steroids.

Heck in the indictment, its saids that he test positive for steroids.

Bonds is not well like with everybody. This is not going to help him.

No matter what happens, Bonds does not belong in the baseball hall of fame because he is link to steriods. And now this indictment will deined him his place at the baseball hall of fame.

To say "never ever" is such a strong statement. How do you know that, say 25 or 30 years down the road they won't let him in. After all, he did already have a HOF career before he started "growing" again in his late 30's.

If Barry Bonds had not done steroids, he would definitely be a 1st ballot hall of famer. Instead Bonds decide to take steriods after seeing how Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa got credit for bring the sport back by hitting home runs. Also Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson will never be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame because both were involve in huge scandals. Jackson was involved in the Black Sox scandal, and Rose bet on baseball which he denied until he wrote he did in his book. Bonds wounldn't get in because he took steriods, and the indictment will be his demise.

Barry Bonds is a top 5 player of all time. He definately will get in the HOF. He may not be a 1st ballot guy but he will get in. They can keep him out forever if they want but he will eventually get in.

When everything is played out, Barry Bonds will be banned from baseball. Bud Selig, the commissioner of baseball, will see how this plays out and decide Bonds fate. To me Bonds will be banned from the sport because he put himself into this situation. He has nothing to blame but himself. Also Bonds will be on the suspended list, so Bonds will not be eligible to be voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. So when it is all said and done, Bonds will NEVER EVER be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

There you go with the "never ever" stuff again. When you say that you leave room for as long as baseball is around. Bonds will get in some day. Whether it is in 5, 10, 20, or 50 years from now, he will get in the HOF.

The indictment won't keep him out.

A guilty verdict will.

It is hard to prove someone "knowingly" did something, and that is what makes the case hard to prove, but I think there is enough evidence to get a guilty verdict.

November 16, 2007  10:51 PM ET

he wont be in....regardless of what happens...and his career before he juiced up was nothing better than average....

November 16, 2007  10:54 PM ET

INDICTMENT MEANS JACK SQUAT. NOTHING IS FINAL UNTIL A GUILTY VERDICT!!!!

November 16, 2007  11:00 PM ET

ok, so they need some damn strong evidence, but with our justice system, anything is possible,

November 16, 2007  11:59 PM ET

ok steveo, what you said there, about his pre-roid career, that my friend, was the dumbest thing I have heard in a while. Lets say he juiced around 2000. He still had an incredible career, and likely would have been in the 500 HR 500 Steals club, and guess how many are in that club? He still consistently hit 305-45 HR's, with anywhere from 15-50 Steals. To say it was nothing better than average is pure ignorance

November 17, 2007  01:09 AM ET

Depending how involved he was with the steroids will determine when and if he gets in. Right now I think he gets in but it will take a lot of years.

November 17, 2007  01:56 AM ET

"and his career before he juiced up was nothing better than average"

Dumber.Than.Dirt. if you believe that.

November 17, 2007  01:57 AM ET

You people are nuts. This indictment has NOTHING to do with baseball.

November 17, 2007  02:36 AM ET

The indictment (and future 6 months jail time) will be reason enough to keep him out. The feds don't kid around about perjury. The hall's got the ball, anyway.

November 17, 2007  02:37 AM ET

Exactly....the indictment has nothing to do with baseball. I totally agree.

The HOF really means nothing either, for it is just a social club for the ghosts of the game. A freaking theme park.

MLB is full of juicers, just like the other sports are including golf.

Basically the difference between pro sports and amatuer sports.....are drugs. Sure money too.

Cocaine...performance enhancing.

Sure, Bonds made a left turn when he should have wnet right....he lied, wow...big deal. It is not like MLB is telling you guys the - REAL TRUTH about the drugs in it's sport.

I just cannot imagine how much drugs I could buy if I was making $10 million or for that matter $2 million a season.

Quite frankly....when you think about it....How many people can you name that are in the HOF ? Maybe 30 at the most...maybe more.

It really does not matter, for in today's society....it's not about being famous, but more so infamous.....think about it.....who is the most famous person in the world ?

Some may say Tiger Woods...he got muscles pretty quick.

No, it's Paris Hilton.

Jim Thome just hit his 500 homer this season and the expert picked him to maybe not even get in the HOF with that stat....so 500 isn't a big deal now aday...and to put such a wide range of number for steals...15? to 50! thats a huge difference!! And there were only 5 season with 34-40 home runs he had outta 14 season prior to 2000....

And when you talk in your argument you put that he "likely"would get 500 hr and 500 steals....how do you know?
I was mentioning his pre drug using era...you mentioned what "MIGHT" of happened if he didn't use juice...so NO his pre juicing years were not great...they were average...and how can you set a time frame of when he was juicing????

Over his career he has 298 bat percentage (at least a 100 players have better) and at just under 10,000 at bats only 2800 hits (not even top 30) along with 1500 Strike outs (#11 all time) stolen bases...not even top 25 all time...
so even over his 18 YEAR CAREER! its just ok numbers....and theres no mention of HRS. because who knows if those are tainted....along with the hits he has gotten...

Yo man....this HOF stuff is a bunch of hoopla for the voters....and they are gonna vote for their favorites.

Does not mean a thing ? Just a money maker for someone.....greed....greed is good.

Who gave the power to the people who vote on the members ?

Why do they exclude some players ?

Why was baseball a racist sport thru 1947 ?

What about the Curt Flood deal....."ownership of a player" ?

The HOF does not exist. It is stupid.

Will Barry Bonds be elected into the HOF ?

Probably not, because the voters are mainly a bunch of people...who are not black.

November 17, 2007  10:51 AM ET

They....whoever controls the voting....should let the people know the breakdown on the voters.....basically their race and their geographic locations.

Then you would know.....why ?

November 17, 2007  11:33 AM ET

Barry Bonds would love to be in the Hall of Fame!!

November 17, 2007  12:01 PM ET

Cow-celt-chi????Has nothing to do with baseball...Ever hear of the theory of relativity???THE REASON HE IS FACING THE CHARGES HAVE EVERYTHING TO DO WITH WHO BARRY BONDS IS!!! His arrogance even after he was exposed as a juiced up freak willing to do anything to "be the Best".... His lying and cheating.....It has everything to do with who Barry Bonds is...and guess what (blondey) he is a BASBALL PLAYER TOO!! AND HE CHEATED WHILE PLAYING BASEBALL AND LYIED ABOUT IT. Please....take off the blonde wig!!!

November 17, 2007  12:01 PM ET

barry did roids. anyone in their right minds knows that. so then why would the HOF voters vote for a cheater?

November 17, 2007  12:08 PM ET

Oh!!! and speaking of juiced....Whether Bonds gets in the Hall.... who knows???I never thought OJ would get away with murder...and who knows...a jury of his peers...crack heads and hoodilums might let him out of the bag again... so who knows if one day Bonds gets in...with or with out an asterisk. If I were him...I'm not...I'd just be happy with rich...He'll get interest on all of that money when he gets out.... I suppose there are some who ****really don't think he cheated and then lied about it????
WHATEVER!!!!!!!

Hey....what is the moral to the story??? Bonds would have probably been able to develope in to a stronger player than he was when he started juicing. Now (maybe) he has screwed all of that up...What was it greed...Pride(I'm the best there ever was)...The one thing it did do was help him to become rich....The rest (hall of fame and the REAL record) may just be wishfull thinking now that he chose "the short cut". Would I have done differently...I don't know...But the one thing I do know...I wouldn't have the gall to look anyone in the eye and claim Hank Aaron's record... He's a cheat and he knows it!!!!
