Tried this TD earlier and funkyfresh ruined it and his account was deleted. So rules are simple. Players have to be currently in the NBA and played only for one franchise.

PG- Deron Williams - having career year, wait he had a career year last year, oh and he is having another, just dropped 35 points on the Lakers, sorry kobe

SG- Kobe Bryant - possible best player in game

SF- Lebron James- other possible best player in game

PF- Tim Duncan- me rings himself, boring, true, champion also true

C- Dwight Howard - a monster underneath this year, making magic a power in the East.

First off, Kobe should not be on this list. Hes a great player, but you are wrong on his transaction part. Kobe was traded from the Hornets to the Lakers for Vlade Divac following his draft in 1996.

His replacement? Not a fancy guy. Not a big scorer. But he does what he needs to do. His name? Manu Ginobili.

And to be different , Ill take CP3 over Deron Williams. CP3 is averaging a double double with 20 point and 10 assists a game, and is leading his team to a 12-6 start.

Deron averages 19 points, 9 assists, and 1 less rebound per game.

These two players are very hard to argue against, they have very similar stats, however, I do think that CP3 is working with less talent that D-Will. (D-Will leading his more talented team to a 13-5 start)

Im not going to argue Manu against Kobe, Manu is the better team player, but Kobe is a better overall player. I was just stating that you were wrong about his non-transaction status.

Kobe Never suited up for the Charollete Hornets.

Did you read the rules, "Players have to be currently in the NBA and played only for one franchise."

Even if your statement holds any valid info, which it does not, he was not playing for the hornets ever was he.

Better yet why dont you show me Kobe in a hornets jersey.

As for CP3 and D Will, Deron Williams is the obvious choice. Playing for a tight noised coach in Sloan Williams has earned respect to be able to not only lead the team but play uptempo when needed.

Your right , Paul has less to work with, that is why New Orleans is so desperate for Paul to do whatever he wants. It doesnt matter, there offenise is not structured. Deron Williams had to earn his stripes unlike Paul on a lotto team. Williams got the Jazz to the finals.

Williams' size and strength compare favorably to that of Jason Kidd. Williams is quicker off the dribble and his upper body strength gives him an advantage when he penetrates to the basket.

He also knows how to take contact at the rim, and is more than capable of hitting from the perimeter.

William's playoff performance last season offered only a glimpse of his potential. He's averaging 18 points and nine assists thus far in '07-'08, and his Utah Jazz are one of the power teams in the Western Conference

The title to the argument is the best current non-transaction team. Did Kobe ever suit up for the Hornets? No. But was he was involved in a transaction between two team? Yes. Therefore, your argument and title contradicts itself.

Your points for D-Will, on the other hand are completely irrelevant and do not show why D-Will is better than CP3. The point is, CP3 has better overall numbesr than D-Will, and is doing so with worse overall players.

D-Will in not an obvious choice. If he were, **** have better numbers than CP3, if he were an obvious choice **** have a much better record than CP3. Having D-Will play for a certain coach doesn't make him the better choice--put CP3 in with Sloan and see what happens. Deron had to earn his stripes? What, are you a spokesman for Kelloggs? SO DOES EVERY PLAYER IN THE NBA. Williams did get his team to the finals, because he plays for a better team than CP3 plays for. And, the Jazz did not get to the finals. What does a comparison to Kidd have anything to do with anything? He might penetrate better to the basket, but at the end of the day, it doesnt matter how you score, as long as you score. And CP scores and dishes more.
Hornets=Force/ 4th seed

4th seed, you need help

The Hornets will be lucky to make an 8th seed. How do you get 4th seed?
Lets break it down for sure
Locks for the playoffs are
Spurs
Mavs
Jazz
Suns

Those are 4 teams allready, then you have Rockets, Nuggets, Warriors, Lakers, Hornets...

that 8th seed is going to be a rush.

No way will the Hornets get a 4th seed.

Well..there 4th seed right now, I dont see why they cant keep it up. They play well together. Teams infront of them and behind them will have struggles through the season. Whos to say the Hornets cant be the suprise team in the west this year? After all, you should know about theat..the Jazz werent expected to do much last year and they got, guess what, the 4th seed.

That post was also completely off topic as it relates to your argument, by the way.

"Current NBA non transaction team"

Kobe has been traded. Sorry Joe. Doesn't matter if he ever suited up for Charlotte or not, the title of your TD makes him ineligible for this list.

December 4, 2007  08:11 PM ET

Well,Kobe never played for the Horns, but that WAS a transaction, so he got you there.

"the hornets traded their pick for vlade divac. that pick became kobe bryant"

Nice try, but you know that's incorrect. The Hornets drafted Kobe then traded him.
