Obviously BYU has the better record and what not... but UCLA has the better defense. They completely shut down Oregon and harrased Cal for the upset. With a defense that includes Bruce Davis, QB Max Hall will have a nightmare of a game.

They did shut down a Dixon-less Oregon team, I will give you that and over-rated Cal at the time, wow. They are going up against the 11th ranked defense in the nation, that only allows 18 ppg. Yes you did beat them early in the season (at home cause you went on the road to another Mountain West team and got thumped). BYU made some stupid mistakes (fumbles lost all day long) but UCLA didn't capitalize on all of them.
This time its on a neutral site (BYU does play in Vegas every other year) and I think BYU will be looking for a little revenge in this game and show off their offense once again and their defense will come up big against a coachless (yes I know they got an interim coach) team and fall to BYU.

let me throw another stat at you: UCLA is 7-1 all time against BYU. their last win against the bruins? 1983. during the series, UCLA has beaten BYu by an average of 17 points. Sure, they are not blowouts, but who gets the w? and who will get the w once again? you guess it. UCLA owns BYU.

The last time UCLA went to the Las Vegas bowl, they were supposed to beat up another Mountain West team (Wyoming) and they lost by 3.
And we are still talking about this UCLA team that lost to Notre Dame this year? Have you been watching this whole year of football to begin with, streaks this year have been coming to an end (Navy over ND), so this is going to be BYU's chance to end theirs.
Max Hall did play them earlier this year and passed for almost 400 yds @ UCLA (2nd most this season). So how can you say he will have a nightmare game, when he showed up with the passing attack, explain that.

football team did not have a very good year and they lost their coach. defensive coach is suppose to be an interim coach til they find a new one.
like princess says, go bruins, both the football and basketball teams.

It is not a neutral field, BYU plays in the Vegas bowl pretty much every year, so the Cougar fans buy their tix early and travel in droves.
I saw BYU play in person this year. They're good. Probably better than they're ranked. Solid pass D, decent rush D. Top 15 passing offense. If I were picking, I'd go with BYU.

BYU gets no respect, geez. I like how these TDs turn into popularity contests. Yes, UCLA beat BYU earlier in the year, I'll give them that. But losing to Notre Dame erases any traction that victory earned them. The numbers support BYU.

Does anyone here read the arguments presented or do you just vote for the title and say yes they will?

Don't worry after the game has been decided by who ever wins, I know I threw out a better argument than the individual sending out the argument.
