Asante Samuel, cornerback of the New England Patriots will not be on the Patriots next year.

In Samuel's 1 year contract that he signed, it states that if he plays 60% of the defensive snaps or the Patriots win 12 games, Samuel cannot be tag with the franchise tag or the transition tag again, which means Samuel will be a free agent.

Also keep in mind that Randy Moss will also be a free agent at the end of the season.

The Patriots don't always like to pay players big time money. Last off season was different. They made a lot of moves including bringing Moss, Wes Welker and Adalius Thomas.

Moss is going to want to be pay as the highest pay wide receiver in the NFL. Samuel is going to want what Nate Clements got from the 49ERS.

The most likely outcome is that the Patriots will franchise tag Moss, and let Samuel go some where else.

How do you know Randy Moss will want to be payed a ton of money. Maybe he likes it here. He gets the ball and he wins. He will get payed how much he is this year i think. He has the best quarterback in the league throwing to him, i think he is smart enough no to push it now that he is on a good team.

Back to Asante Samuel, if what i said above is correct then they will be able to get him back. Why would he leave a winning team???

Moss does not like to play physical despite being that big . He seems to be a non factor when he doesn't get the ball. The reason he accept the deal with the Patriots because he wanted out of Oakland so badly that he accepted a pay cut after dogging it with the Raiders. He is going to wanted a big contract in return for a reward. Samuel wants a big contract as well. The Patriots are going to have to choose between them.

Samuel is a cornerback that will be sort after. Moss is most likely to stay with the Patriots than Samuel because he enjoys playing for Tom Brady. While Samuel is going to want the money.

Most WR's seem to be a non-factor when they don't get the ball IDK just IMO. But in Moss' case he is always a huge factor, cause you will still have to double him if he gets the ball or not.

Hard to vote for a guy that forfeited 2 turns

Nice try.
nope.. Im betting Asante pulls a Branch and the Patriots say bye bye.. as in we will probably have the number 2 pick and pick up a new one.

If both are smart they will stay and keep winning. That is what every player should want to do, win. Look at Moss in Oakland. Team wasn't winning Moss was whining. He should stay!

Moss has one big contract left in him at his age. He will maximize it. Samuels is angry with the Pats for franchising him in the first place and will not give a home discount. This is his big money contract year, and he's gonna want to get paid.
Keep in mind the Pat's are pretty tight against the cap to begin with. They are projected at 11 mil to spend. I don't think they can afford to keep either Moss or Samuel. They still have G.ay as an unrestricted free agent as well. Plus holes to fill at LB. That cap money only goes so far.

Moss already took a pay cut to play this season with the Pats. He has now proved that he is still one of the best and he will demand big time money. Moss and Samuel will leave for the money after they get a ring. Remember, the Pats will have to pay their rookie draft pick big time money this offseason because it's from the 49ers and will be a top 5 pick.

Samuel will be back he wanted A longer contract but Bilickick wanted to make sure he wasn't a one year wonder! Samuel will get his 3 years this year! and Bilickick knows what hes doing he has been playing this game a long time.....as for Moss......a ring will keep him in New England! Sorry you LOSE!
