There is all this talk of how tough the Seahawks will be come playoff time, I say they haven't beaten but one playoff caliber team, and their schedule was a cake walk. They play in arguably the worst division in football, and have only beaten one good team Tampa Bay, and that was in week one.
Their losses:
Cards
Steelers
Saints
Browns
Panthers
Atlanta
The only semi-legit teams on that list are the Browns and Steelers
Wins:
TB
Bengals
9ers
Rams
9ers
Bears
Rams
Eagles
Cards
Baltimore
TB is the only win against a good team
Seattle is a prentender. Seattle can't even run they haven't had a 100 yard rusher in 14 weeks. They are not top five rushing, not top five in defense and not top five in QB play. The only thing they have is crowd noise, a good Head Coach and a good QB. Otherwise this team has shown me nothing.

Arguing that they aren't "top 5" makes no sense to me. Twelve teams make the playoffs, and Seattle is certainly one of the top 12 teams in the NFL. What they've been able to do is win 10 games, and in today's NFL, that's an accomplishment worthy of playoff football. They don't control their schedule, but they were able to dominate their schedule enough to win the NFC West.
In the end, it isn't that easy in the NFL to outscore the Bengals, or score on the Bears and Eagle. Heck, even the Cards come to play every game.
The point is, winning in the NFL is a difficult enough task. Winning 10 games is a remarkable task. They've got their hands full this weekend against a hot Washington team, but their defense is more than up to the task, and their passing game will make up for a less than impressive running game. THey may not be the BEST team in the NFL, or even in the top 5, but they certainly had a playoff worthy season which should be commended, not made fun of.

It can be made fun of. Honestly I have no idea why everyone hypes this team. They have a good home crowd, and yes they made the SB but but but they also had a Sean Alexander at teh top of his game. To me it's a joke that everyone thinks they will be tough. They haven't been tested. To me their the most unproven team in the NFC. There division is a mess, and their marquee win was against the Eagles. To me this is one of the teams with more question marks then the riddlers coat. Riddle me this Batman, what do they do when their running game gets stuffed? They can't make a run with just a passing attack, the defenses in the playoffs will eat their lunch.

Well to be honest, I haven't seen anyone hyping this team. Most people agree that they won the weakest division in the NFL. But someone from the division had to make the playoffs, and someone did.

Report Offensive CommentI think the Hawks have a good chance to make noise in the playoffs. Im not buying into the Redskin hype, the Seahawks beat them by 7 next weekend. The Seahawks could beat the very very underwhelming Cowboys, but they wouldn't have that great of a shot in Lambau.
NYGiantsSBXLIICHAMPS | 12/31/07, 07:50 PM
Report Offensive CommentThey have the most postseason experience of anybody out there. The Cowboys have been in one playoff game since 04, the Packers have a bunch of new players on their roster that haven't sniffed the postseason, the Bucs have been in one playoff game since their Super Bowl. The Giants have only played in the wildcard round the last two years and lost both games, and the Redskins have made the playoffs once since 99. The Seahawks have been in the playoffs for five years now, with a Super Bowl run included in that, so I would not consider them pretenders, because I honestly don't think it would be a gigantic shock to find them in Glendale because of their experience in big games, a very good and underrated QB, as well as decent recievers, a capable defense(I don't count yesterdays game for much) and a very good and qualified coach in Mike Holmgrin.

Whether you agree with it or NOT, you should consider everything that's happened these last 3 weeks...
I'll give Gruden credit; you took this TD. You'll go down in flames, but I know you'll keep swingin' away @ bomb3ers' argument(s). (Be nice to me; I'm STILL recovering from last night...LOL)
