That is good.

The Falcons....What are they going to do? No Coach, No QB, RB Warrick Dunn is getting old and his Salary/RB Norwood- can he be a full time, maybe/maybe not, WR-I am not sure what they have....White looks good and horrible, it verys week to week. Jenkins hasn't stepped up....Alge Crumpler is 30+ I think, The Offensive line is in a transition stage right now trying to get younger. The D Line needs to get help at DT. Coleman is good, but he is getting old fast. They need some guys who can come in and stop the run. Linebackers, I really think are a mess. Brooking is okay, I have never really been a fan of his. But Boley/Williams are the same player really. Undersized/ fast guys. The Secondary is a mess but have two good young Corners.....DHall is OVERRATED but if he had some athletic Safteys behind him he would be better....

The Guys that Arthur Blank is talking too are all 3-4 Defensive minded coaches. That will set the Falcons back even longer. That will bring up lots of problems rather than solutions. The Falcons would have to find a Good 3-4 NT (Which is HARD to find) and a Good Backup for rotation. 3-4 Defensive Ends are easier to come by. Then you have to figure out how 1st round pick DE Jamal Anderson fits in? Could he play OLB or gain about 10lbs and play 3-4 DE. Could he even make the switch? Another Huge problem would be DE John Abraham. He didn't want to play 3-4 OLB for the Jets and got out of there. Will he still want to be a Falcon if he has to play that position? Who will be the MLB's in the 3-4? You have to have Big MLB's who can shed off of OG's and take many hits. If you ask me it's more trouble than it's worth.

They should just go after a guy that runs the 4-3 Defense and bring in a lot of young talent.

December 31, 2007  06:56 AM ET

This is why the Falcons finished the season 4-12. They're more concerned with Vick and his nonsense than they are with winning football games. No more indictment of Petrino and Arthur Blank could be more telling.

December 31, 2007  06:58 AM ET

this is an odd move for the team to want to see him. and one that vick's new neighbors won't appreciate either.

December 31, 2007  07:43 AM ET

Who cares about this story anymore? Where are the headlines concerning the 12 play-offs teams? This is just more BS about a low-life thug who when asked about a problem lied to the faces of both the commissioner and to the man who was paying him millions of dollars. I don't give a f#@* anymore.

For all of you Vick haters: Some people have killed human beings and are walking free. No names need to be mentioned but you know who they are. Mike was wrong, but don't single him out when others****-fight, big-game hunt, shoot geese, fish-fight, smuggle exotic animals out of their natural habitat, murder and maim people with rare radioactive elements, etc... Vladimir Putin was named Time Magazine's Person of the Year, but no one's picketing. Truly a twisted world we're living in.

Get over it...that is the world we live in. Celebrities are treated differently than regular people. That's just how it is. He was a high profile person, so of course he is going to be treated differently. The same thing happened with OJ. No other trial would have been that publicized, but he is a celebrity. He killed 2 people and got round the clock coverage, that doesn't happen to common people.

You are a fool if anyone picketed Vladimir the most they will get is a stiff Russian beat down and for Time Magazine when they made osama ben laden as Man of the Year in the past that prove to be nothing more than toilet humor and behind paper.

When a man kills a dog with a hammer and laugh about it he is no more different than Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy they did the same thing look what they did when they got bored of that.

Psycho' sought in shootings of 6

Police in Phoenix, Arizona, appealed Sunday for help in finding a 24-year-old man known as "Psycho" who is a suspect in Saturday's shootings of six people and a dog.

GET THE POINT!!!!!

December 31, 2007  08:38 AM ET

No issues with visiting Vick, but I think these players should stop publicly supporting this guy and showing his picture here and there. Vick was found guilty and is serving his time. Enough about this "Free Mike Vick" crap. Show your support silently and stop brandishing his picture everywhere. Denagelo Hall looks like an idiot in this picture.

December 31, 2007  08:41 AM ET

I don't see it as odd. This is a team that has lost focus of its priorities. Isn't it ironic that these same people were the ones he let down--the ones he lied to and told he had no involvement in the things he was being charged with. Arthur Blank should view this as a real slap in the face. Then again, a prison league is where most of them belong anyway. They might even be winners at that level. Surely they could do better than 4-12.

December 31, 2007  08:44 AM ET

Wolf dogs are just like any other breed of dog, said Mr. Davis. Attacks are rare, he said, "even less so than for many breeds. We don't need the headlines" when this kind of attack happens".

Slightly more than 300 people were killed by 403 dogs in the period from 1979-96, the report says. Fifteen wolf dog hybrids were involved in fatal attacks. Number one at 118 deaths was "pit bull types" both purebred and cross-bred;

second was Rottweilers with 67 killings, third was mixed breed and fourth was German shepherds.

For the Record Vick should not be allowed back on the field unless he buys a ticket to a game.

arejaydub,
My Homestate of Texas "Smuggles" in Exotic Animals to be hunted. There is nothing wrong with that. These Animals are either extinct or on the Endangered speices list in thier respective Country. Yet 95% of these animals live and florish in Texas. Not only do we hunt them, but we ensure that the animals will live on and never become extinct. So that comment is pretty much retarded.

Wolf dogs killed owner, autopsy determines

When the headlines read of this weekly the players should help inner city youths realize what he done is wrong and children lives is at stake when these dogs come into play.

There have been a total to date of 49 people killed this year by dogs and 39 of those were Pit Bulls. Of those 35 of them were children ages 2- 17 yrs of age. These are facts no crusade but to give the truth.

December 31, 2007  08:52 AM ET

Please move on... Whether they visit or not.. it is not news. Who cares about a washed up felon and the team he destroyed? They may rebound but his immature decisions did not help. I am not sure why they would visit but who cares?

December 31, 2007  08:54 AM ET

Since there is 52 weeks in a year and 49 people have been killed by dogs that is nearly one person a week. This number is close to the average person going to jail on a bogus charge.

You should care because our children may grow up to idolize this foolish behavior. Then what's next ' I DIDN'T KNOW MY CHILD WAS INVOLVED IN DOG FIGHTING".

These players should be told to keep this opinion to themselves because children are watching, but what are they learning from this should concern each of us.

December 31, 2007  09:05 AM ET

Stupid Falcons. Vick sank their season and left their program in turmoil and these dolts still rally around him. They should be mad at him for shafting every player on the team.

Hunting is legal. Dog fighting isn't. I hunt. Hunters pour millions of dollars into wildlife restoration and conservation programs through license fees and part of the taxes collected on guns, ammunition, hunting clothes and gear. Aside from running their yaps, what do the PETA folks do to help animals?

They gotta support their homies...you know that. If this was Joey Harrington, they wouldn't be visiting.

BACKLASH - No matter what you say arejaydub is right. This country's priorities are screwed up. Do you know there were laws in the United States to protect animals before there were laws to protect CHILDREN??? Call me what you want, but as a African-American I find it hard to care about what happens to some blood thirsty pit-bulls when historically my people have been looked upon and depicted as animals and treated far worse than Vick EVER treated those pits.

Vick should be put to death for killing some dogs??? Are you insane?? Extend the death penalty to the rapists and those who commit crimes against CHILDREN - not for running a friggin' dogfighting ring. And before you go there - pit bulls are NOT innocent, helpless animals. How many children do these ugly, furry savages have to eat before they are banned altogether??? It is NOT a matter of training because if you need "special" training to own a pit-bull you probably shouldn't have one and they probably should not be owned as pets - they've eaten too many owners and their children.

If Vick should be put to death for killing dogs, then the NYPD, LAPD and the ATLPD, etc should be put to death for killing HUMAN innocents the way they do. Corporations that kill us with their products or destroy the environment in order to make the products should be destroyed or dissolved.

December 31, 2007  09:12 AM ET

Let's not forget..... Ray Caruth this heartless Bas.tard tried to take the life of his unborn child.

I would have sympathized with Vick had he eaten the dog, as something he grew up due to lack of food.
