Arenas suffers injury setback

Gilbert Arenas started Game 3 last night but didn't finish. The question now is: What kind of impact can the three-time all-star have on the remainder of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers? After coming off the bench in the first two games, Arenas started last night but limped off the court with a bone bruise in his left knee late in the second quarter and did not return.

It's Not!

This could be serious and unfortunate to happen in a contract year. I hope he is ok but I do not see any teams that will max out a SG with a gimpy knee. This will be a long summer for Gilbert.

While I don't like ANYONE getting hurt, it isn't too bad in terms of timing.
1. Wiz play well w/o Gilbert, they just space out better, ball is shared more, and there is a cohesiveness on the floor when he's not around. The young guys will get great experience from this.

2. Being in a contract year, it will only make sure he doesn't get an overrated paycheck. Gil is good, but not great. He deserves a good contract, but nothing like a Kobe or a bron or Wade etc

3. Go rest those knees and take care of your health/career. Wiz cannot beat cavs in a 7-game series anyway this year

The Wizards lost Gilbert Arenas but I guess they gained Soulja Boy.

Where did you get your information?

Wizards play better without Gilbert anyway so no big loss in my eyes.

Common sense.

No Arenas, no chance. So you Wizards fan can say goodbye to any hope on going to the next round of the playoffs. Anyways whats the winning about, they (Wizards) were not going to win a series with any other team in the East.

Did you see the game last night? They destroyed the Cavs without Gilbert. The Wiz are a solid team. What team in the NBA beat Boston 3 times this year? I know the playoffs are different, but they're still a good team.

JJ, you should know better than to talk sense to the rickshaw retards on T&R.

Arenas is looking a little more affordable for the Clippers everytime his name is mentioned lately.

Report Offensive Comment

he better not opt out of his contract.

Too bad...I like how the bad blood is brewing between these two teams.

This is just setting up his excuses, if perhaps, they have to play Boston this post season.

It isn't surprising that the Wizards played better without him. He demands the ball and shoots the ball even when he is obviously out of rythym. The best thing that could've happened to the Wizards was for Arenas to not play and let the team that got them to the playoffs beat up the Cavs.

I think advil is just what they need. Now that that's done, who thinks the Spurs looked a little old last night? You can see the age catching up with them, I mean when Tim dunked on Amare the second time, I thought wow he's so old. Let's not even begin to talk about Parker, I mean where is his head at? He needs to get in the game, only 41 points. Man he's probably just thinking of which island he'll take Eva to after the season's over. They are done. I think the Suns will roll off 4 straight. You can just see it in their eyes, the hunger, the longing, the focus. Suns in 7 baby. (HA!)
