Office Depot moving to MWR

Hearing Office Depot, currently the sponsor for No. 99-Carl Edwards, is considering a move to Michael Waltrip Racing with driver No. 00-Michael McDowell. UPS has been rumored as a possible sponsor for Edwards and Roush Racing in 2009.

Guess they want to be known more for spetacular crashes than racing on Sundays.........that was just below the belt!

Report Offensive CommentI heard that they are negotiating a contract where they only have to pay if he finishes the race. So could be a very inexpensive deal

Report Offensive CommentThe rumor has them sponsoring the #00 that McDowell drives. After Mikey's performance at RIR Saturday night he should be looking for a tranquilizer sponsor. LOL at jackman and BUCKGUY

Report Offensive CommentSeriously? I understand Office Depot is leaving the 99 because of the cost... but there has got to be a better ride out there. Childress and Penske are both looking to go to 4 cars next season, and Rusty Wallace's team is considering starting a Cup ride in the next year or two. Hell, I'd rather sponsor a World of Outlaws car then deal with MWR and all the crap they bring with them. The team is weak, yet they spend a disporportionate amount of money. Its not sponsorship help MWR needs... it needs better drivers, and a better team owner.
As for UPS going to the 99... it would be great to see them sponsor a future championship driver... They had great success with DJ (until he went to MWR), and will have great success with Edwards.
