Blake wants out of Toronto

Jason Blake sounds like he would welcome a move out of Toronto. The Leafs sound like they would be happy to be rid of him and his ridiculous contract, too. Where there is meeting of wills, there must be a way.

Hey Jason...the feeling is mutual.

Come on back to the Isles. We'll pay half of your salary. We could use the scoring

Yeah, I hear there's a big market for 35 yr old plus, small forwards with one big year under his belt that makes 4 million a year. Maybe the Islanders will take him and MaCabe off your hands. You might even get Comrie in return.

Not to defend the Leafs, which is never up my alley, but Blake didn't say he wanted out, he just said that he wouldn't oppose a trade if it came down to that. He understands the team needs to rebuild, and, he understands he had the most frustrating season of his life - for which he will receive the Masterton, I am sure. So, a change of scenery for Blake may be in the best interests of both parties involved. The title makes it sound like he demanded a trade, which he did not

Seems like my Isles made the right decision...for once.

Thanks goCan, I was thinking the same thing when I read the title.

"Blake wants out of Toronto" roughly translates too "Blake wouldn't kick up a fuss if traded" in the Fannation T&R language.

LOL Baunded here was what I was going to type after reading the headline before reading your earlybird post.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

Untradeable. Does this water-bug have a no-movement clause? Can he get sent down to be brought up at half the cost? I'd like to know.

Good luck finding someone else as stupid as the Laffs to pay your giant contract. There's no way anyone will trade for him even if he wouldn't mind a move.
