Redden won't return to Sens

It looks like the Senators and longtime defenseman Wade Redden have officially parted company. It looks like the door is now closed. The Redden camp is apparently not interested in discussing a contract similar to that of veteran blueliner Chris Phillips and Redden appears ready to hit the market as an unrestricted free agent July 1, according to Sun Media sources.

Wade definatley had a sub-par performance this year. Should the Bruins take an interest in pairing him up again with Chara?
Money is going to be the key issue as to where he signs. He is an NHL star but not a superstar and should be paid accordingly. There should be plenty of interest in him.

Report Offensive CommentBolts do need upgrades/depth on the blueline, but I don't know how their situation is with cap space. Is there a site to find this kind of stuff out?

Report Offensive CommentRedden is a bum. No more Chara to make him look good anymore. This slug is not worth 3 million. 2.75 max.

Report Offensive Commentthe lightning could use him but they did sign dan boyle to a longterm deal in the middle of the season so who knows if they have the money to pay for a big name free agent this offseason

Report Offensive CommentRedden hasn't proven his worth in the playoffs. However he is a half a point a game Dman that skates will and handles the puck well. He made $6mil+ this past season. Not sure he will get that again. He is over 30 years old with 11 years experience. I think in the right situation he can be effective. I think the "new" NHL fits his style more. Someone will give him $4.5/$5mil.

Report Offensive CommentI think he should sign in New York, but to an incentive laden deal. He is someone worth having on the PP, and The Rangers can certainly use that. I say this as a big Rangers fan
