Can Haye become MMA star?

Former WBC bantamweight champion Wayne McCullough believes soon-to-be heavyweight contender David Haye has all the tools to follow his ambition of one-day becoming a mixed martial arts star. McCullough, 32, who become an official spokesman for the industry-leading Ultimate Fighting Championship last year, said: "Haye can already punch and he has natural strength, so he'd fit nicely into the MMA heavyweight division."

Haye would get himself killed. In that regard, I'm all for population control. JOIN.

He has strength and cn punch. That's great, but what's he going to do when someone takes him down, puts him on his back and starts pounding him. Boxers do not do well in MMA unless they have done some serious ground training, because eveyone knows to just take them down and pound them.

I'd personally like to see some good boxers going into MMA

Hyped, unless they cross train to get some groundfighting skills the wrestlers and jui-jitsu guys will simply take them down and ground and pound them or submit them.

nobody in the mma would be able to take clean short punches from david haye, this isnt some bum like mercier or gannon who give boxers a bad name.
i dont think there would be anybody who could take haye down without being hit. haye hits them ( with mma gloves on ) game over. they would take one or two punches, witch would set them up for a big one. and they would be out on there feet. the best way to beat a tallented boxer is always with kicks. but if haye goes to the mma , its big Buissiness he is going to fight no names first and then stand up fighters. they wouldnt want him to lose.
