Biffle unhappy with equipment

Posted: Monday May 12, 2008 08:06AM ET

The up-and-down season for Roush Fenway Racing was on display in full force Saturday night at Darlington Raceway. While Carl Edwards, David Ragan, Matt Kenseth and Jamie McMurray were riding high after their finishes in the Dodge Challenger 500, Greg Biffle couldn't have gone any lower than his 43rd and last-place finish. After winning the pole and looking like the class of the field for the first half of the race, Biffle was struck first by a loose wheel and finally an engine malfunction to end his shot at a third career Darlington Sprint Cup win. "This has been typical of our equipment, I guess," Biffle said. "Loose wheels all night, bad vibration, then I think the motor blew up. All I want is equipment to drive that stays together." It was another maddening ending for Biffle, who came into the race ninth in points and in the midst of a renaissance season after struggling through a nightmarish 2006. But his last-place finish not only dropped him to 11th in the standings but added to his growing frustration.

It's Hot!

Rank: 4

It's Not!

That big red cross should have been an indication of how his car was going to perfom. LOL!

He sort of insinuated he was getting picked by the owner.....he had a good seat to watch the race.......why complain?

Report Offensive Comment

...and comments like that on national TV won't help his cause one bit.

Report Offensive Comment

Biffle is an average driver that is overrated. He needs to move back down to Nationwide series if not Craftsman.

Report Offensive Comment

Biffle has quite a few Sprint Cup wins. He's more than average.

Report Offensive Comment

12 to be exact. Jr. only has 17.

Report Offensive Comment

They all whine when they have bad cars. Next week if he has a good car he'll be singing Roush's praises.

Report Offensive Comment

12 wins when he first came on the scene, how was last season for him? I also think Jr. is a little above average with a big name attached. Roush always has good cars in the game...it has nothing to d o with equipment.

Report Offensive Comment

He really did through Jack under the bus on Saturday, I was very surprised.

Report Offensive Comment

Isn't Biffle in contract negotiations? This could a bargaining ploy. Or his way of telling Jack he is moving on.

Report Offensive Comment

"Unhappy with Biffle's equipment."

That's what she said.

"Unhappy with Biffle's equipment."

That's what she said

Maybe it's time for an implant.....

Biffle's Wife:

"I am also unhappy with his equipment."

Report Offensive Comment

Prediction - Biffle will be gone from Roush by the end of the year.

Report Offensive Comment

So, he's unhappy? We;;. I'm pissed, I've had him on my fantasy team and that last place finish didn't help my points! Especially from one of my "big gun's". Get it together quick Biffle, or I trade you for Kyle Petty!

Swear to god I will!

Report Offensive Comment

The guy that is overated is JR, he is living off his daddy name, he needs to prove himself like Gordon, Johnson etc did by themselves...

Report Offensive Comment

BYE BYE BIFFLE, He will hook up with someone else in a heartbeat. Biff is a talented driver and I would hate for Roush to lose him. This could be a little posturing for leverage in contract talks.

Report Offensive Comment

Cobra - the problem with that argument is Gordon and Johnson "proved" themselves by being given the best racecars in the industry as rookies. I don't recall Junior being given racecars as good as what Gordon and Johnson got.

he will stay with roush................the roush team is well financed
they usually are well prepared ....................every day cant be perfect in
the racing world.......things do go wrong
