Bank forecloses on Sprewell's house
Posted: Tuesday May 13, 2008 06:53AM ET
A River Hills house belonging to former NBA star Latrell Sprewell was foreclosed on Monday after he failed to show up in court to contest the action brought by a bank that held his mortgage. The holder of the mortgage, RBS Citizens Bank, told Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Hansher that Sprewell owed $320,284. According to River Hills records, the house is assessed at $610,000 and has an estimated fair market value of $667,980. Sprewell bought the house in 1994 for $405,000.

Report Offensive CommentWhat happens if he gets angry at the bank for foreclosing the house?
Once he gets back in town, will he storm into their office?
If so, will he choke the banker?

Report Offensive CommentWhat a sickening mismanagement of wealth. Maybe Mark or Mike or Mook whatever his name is D'Antoni can reunite Spree and Houston for another run to the finals.

Report Offensive CommentSports_Fan_19, my thoughts exactly. I bet he would sign a 3 years $21 million contract ina heartbeat now. The guy obviously knew nothing about money management. I have no sympathy for this idiot at all. He should have no money problems at all and has no one to blame but himself.
