Is Biffle looking to move?
Posted: Tuesday May 13, 2008 07:35AM ET
Greg Biffle certainly didn't sound like a guy committed to Roush Fenway Racing when he blasted the faulty equipment that led to his last-place finish at Darlington Raceway. Compounding the situation is that Roush officials have openly questioned why, if Biffle is so certain he wants a contract extension, he's been absent of late from the bargaining table. Biffle's cited a busy schedule for the slow contract talks, but it's time to wonder if he maybe isn't taking a harder look at what's available across the garage. And of all the drivers still on the market, Biffle is the top choice.

Penske is looking for a 4th driver... and Busch and Biffle were teamates at Roush... and they get along...
Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

Report Offensive CommentThat interview sounded like he was fed up with more than the car....I hope whatever he does, he gets a good deal and a better car.
It is very odd , that when contract negotiations are not going well or not going ahead, that the driver in question seems to have car issues. This has been a trend for a few years now (possibly even longer). Very odd indeed.
Another thing to make one go hmmmmm.

Report Offensive CommentHe better stick with were he is at. He may end up in a worse position. He isn't the best driver out there. There are other drivers whose contracts are up also that drive just as well if not better.

Report Offensive CommentI disagree crzy88........Biff can drive. Rousch was down a bit last year, and I dont what is up with his equipment this year.......who is out there out of contract thats better?

Report Offensive CommentLet's see, we have Truex and Newman who could be available soon. The no brainer pick is Biffle if it comes down to these three.

Report Offensive CommentBiffle is just playing hardball, isn't he? If Rousch really wants him to stay (and I would think that he does) then Biffle wants to get the best deal he can. Can't blame him for that.
Plus, I'm sure that he really is frustrated.

Report Offensive CommentMr. Biffle is an intelligent guy and a pretty decent driver. He might be just setting himself up for a more lucrative contract next year at RFR. The other possibility is a move to Gibbs if Mr. Stewart goes back to Chevrolet as has been rumored. The Fenway half of Roush Fenway is John Henry, a commodity trader and multi millionaire and also not a very nice person. I would expect to see a few changes at RFR due to Mr. Henry being involved.
