Scott Kazmir agreed Wednesday to a contract that will keep him in a Rays uniform through at least 2011, with a team option for 2012. The deal guarantees him at least $28.5 million and would pay him $39.5 million if the option is picked up.

Report Offensive CommentAs bad as the Kazmir trade was for the Mets, the Bannister trade bothers me even more....At least with Kazmir, the plan (as poorly conceived as it was ) was to "win now" with Zambrano.
They gave Bannister away for nothing but another project from a last place team....who happened to be another Latin player.

Report Offensive CommentThe Rays keep looking better and better. I love the fact that they traded team cancers Delmon Young and Elijah Dukes for Garza and a pitching prospect. This team is in first place now, but their future is even brighter. The Yank Offs and the Red Sox better be spending...

Report Offensive CommentIt's nice to see the Rays finally playing better ball but it's a disgrace that it took this long.......No team should ever lose 90+ games for 10 straight years.
