The ongoing battle between former UFC lightweight champion Sean Sherk and the state of California may not be down for the count just yet as the Minnesota native confirmed his focus for now is on B.J. Penn, but he may revisit legal action at some point down the road. During the interview, Sherk reaffirmed his previous statements about never fighting in the state of California again after his treatment during the suspension and subsequent hearings with the state's athletic commission.

the only difference between ancient Greece and these guys is they have a tad bit more clothes on. They should eat a pound of beans and broccoli before every match to subdue their opponent.

He did get jobbed. On the night Sherk tested positive, which was not for steroids by the way or HGH, 60% of the fighters that night tested positive but only Sherk was punished. I have never understood that.

Sherk vs Penn is going to be a war, i cant wait for UFC 84!!!!!

He really needs to move on. how do you mean sherk was the only one punished. Sherk got his suspension reduced even though he was still found guilty. Hermes Franca is sitting out a full year and at least he manned up and admitted it. And get your facts straight. 60% of the fighters that night did not test positive

This is a quote from the Toronto star website from July 19th 2007:
The 16 other fighters on the UFC 73 card passed their drug tests. That included light-heavyweight Stephan Bonnar, who was fighting for the first time since testing positive for a steroid in September. He said he took the drug out of frustration at a nagging elbow injury.

I thought there was something fishy with their testing that night and they tested for more than they were supposed too....i.e. not just steroids and HGH? I thought I read an article that said that alot of the fighters from that night tested positive, but the test was a bad batch of tests? I wish I could find the article now....

I want to say even some things like GNC products were found and resulted in positive tests.

Just going off of an old article that I cant find anymore. If the article is not right, my apologies.
