Titans changing uniforms

Posted: Saturday July 05, 2008 09:19AM ET

The Titans have worn their light blue jerseys well over the years, and in 2008 they'll wear them a lot more. They have switched their primary jersey to light blue after wearing navy since 1999. The organization recently notified the NFL of the decision. The team plans to wear light blue for all of its home games except the preseason opener Aug. 9 against the St. Louis Rams, and the Nov. 23 regular-season game at LP Field against the Jets, when they'll wear navy. The team's primary road jersey will remain white. The Titans had discussed making the change in recent years, but owner Bud Adams just recently decided to make the switch. Pants can be light blue, navy blue or white.

It's Not!

So will they be more like the Houston Oiler uniforms?

The powder-blue unis are sweet, one of the best looking in the league.

Nothing like powder blue to strike fear in your opponents, what's next, puppies leading the charge out of the tunnel?

Fluffy, cute ones, Miyagi.

Fannation? Could you post a pic with the light blue jersey, please?

Light blue is lighter than Navy?

I use them all the time in Madden. They're pretty sweet.

Actually this is a good thing anyways. The VY jersey I got is that one.

They should have switched to gray, symbolizing the lack of grey matter between their QB's ears!

Call me when they get rid of that ridiculous logo.

If they traded for Alex Smith or Rex Grossman would that be an upgrade? Maybe Kyle Boller or J.P.Losman? How about Chad Pennington or David Carr?

Powder blue is more suited for Powder Puff football.

None of them would be a downgrade. And while Pennington is cooked, his best years in NY will certainly be better than anything VY will ever accomplish.

Damn! The headlines gave me false hope! I always thought the Titans had the worst uniforms in the league no matter which color they picked. I'm okay with Navy. I'm okay with Powder Blue. But both of them prominently in the same uniform? Eeesh!!

I specifically asked if they'd be an upgrade. Have you compared their winning percentages? I thought not. In regards to Chad, we'll see. It's obvious that you're a Vince Young hater. That's fine, but don't hate him because you have doubts about his football IQ. If he were dumb, if anything, you should feel sorry for him. Based on their success or lack thereof, surely those other QBs aren't rocket scientists.

You should try a better defense system, the fetal position isn't working for you!

I miss the old Oilers' jerseys, but I believe the NFL retired the name as well as the logo and such. I was hoping the Texans would revitalize the name and logo but then things would not be the same unless they were in the AFC North
