Won't happen

July 6, 2008  11:16 AM ET

Nope, But I'll pray Kaka crazy like that he ends up at the Bridge!!!

Hooray for silly season!

Let's play the Silly Season Game. Write down all the wealthy clubs on a pieces of paper, write down all the big players on pieces of paper, put them in a sack, draw names and teams out at random, and then write news stories about it!

Although if Lampard is really on his way out, this could be the replacement plan...

Cowace has the idea.

I'm going to write about Pato going to Marseilles.

July 6, 2008  01:39 PM ET

Kaka a nice fit, but Pirlo isn't going anywhere.

July 6, 2008  01:58 PM ET

THIS crap has got to stop, for the sake of AC Milan. The management doesn't want to let him go, Riki himself says he is a Milanista - **** ???

Though Galiani DID say that with the sale of Kaka & Pirlo they could wipe out their debt, but at what price? Losing their 2 most important players would be a huge mistake.

I love Felipao because he gave my country teh Cup in 2002, but please - take Robinho instead !!!

July 6, 2008  03:19 PM ET

Milan said they offered a monster amount of money, but they did want to sell, eventhought they are in financial struggle

July 6, 2008  04:31 PM ET

They've tried before and it hasn't worked and it ain't gonna happen this time either.

July 6, 2008  05:41 PM ET

If it does happen, chelsea should be favorites to win the prem next year, considering the fact that there is no african cup of nations this year and that ballack should be healthy next year.

July 6, 2008  09:39 PM ET

If this goes through it will be for an enormous sum + Shevchenko. I hope it doesn't though, it would ruin the entire way we've been playing for the past 4 or 5 years. Kaka is the center of the entire offence, and if we lose him and Pirlo we will be an entirely different team. Who knows if it'll be a good one, though :(

July 6, 2008  11:19 PM ET

no way this goes down, the chelsea midfield is already way too crowded even if lamps leaves. besides Kaka is the focal point at MIlan, if he goes, or Pirlo, they can forget about qualifying for next years CL.

July 7, 2008  01:44 AM ET

actually, Milan is over $80 million in debt and according to reports from Milan the Kaka deal alone who pay off their debts.

Never doubt the power of cleaning up the books especially at a club that the fans want sold DESPERATELY.

Don't forget that Kaka has also said he'd be interested in playing in England and has been taking intense English lessons the last year or so.

Lest we forget one of the most important elements: AC Milan isn't getting CL money this year. No big checks + massive debt + player who has thought about playing elsewhere is a perfect storm for a transfer.

More of the pieces fit than what they may appear.

My parents were going to name me Kaka too.

July 7, 2008  02:45 AM ET

But they knew I'd get made fun of at the jedi academy. So they went with YODA instead.

July 7, 2008  03:37 AM ET

This is all nonsense speculation, the ONLY way Kaka is gone is if Berlusconi wishes to make a profit now rather than later OR if RONALDINIO is signed, however Kaka is worth much much much more than overachieved Ronaldinio! To me he is just a under ambitious superstar who got paid and is content with everything else because of whats in the account! Kaka, on the other hand, was never spoken to be a world player of the year as far as the supernatural brazilians go; but I believe injuries granted for, wants to get out of the shadows of his generation (Ronaldo and Ronaldinio) to make his mark in history!

July 7, 2008  03:41 AM ET

Forgive me but AC MILAN is of Italians and Italian decent!!!! If they remake they roster, they lose their biggest source of income, the freakin ITALIANOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Milan doesn't get rid of good players in their prime often, muchless great ones. I could see Pirlo going to Spain and commanding a large sum, but Kaka? To Chelsea? I don't see it unless they're deciding to change their style of play from punt n' run.

NO WAY!
