Not that NASCAR doesn't make enough bread as it is, but this whole playing musical sponsors is getting pathetic. I can see where Bud may pull out because Coors is the new "Official Brew of NASCAR", but that being the case, why doesn't Coors take it? Keep it simple. No need to go fishing for some no-name company with just enough cash to pay the bill. Keep it something recognizable to the fans, not the corporations. "Baconettes Pork Rinds Shootout" has a nice ring to it...maybe the "Boones Farm Blowout" . Regardless it is all Jr's fault anyway you look at it.

Who gets in that race? Previous season's pole winners and who else? (previous shootout winners? past champions? other?) Since it was predominantly the "Bud Pole" winners, I figured it was a forgone conclusion that the name would change...I'm surprised, really, if it wasn't part of the pole sponsorship package. (If not, maybe they could let Larry the Cable Guy come up with the name!!)

NASCAR is going the way of the College Bowl games and sports stadiums. Remeber the fiesta bowl before Tostitos and the Sugar Bowl before FedEx? How about when they played games at stadiums named after the city they were in? I am waiting for the Kotex 500 to appeal to the female fans or the Olde English 400 to get the minority crowd
