Sabres want to re-sign Numminen

The Buffalo Sabres would like to add one more veteran defenseman to their roster and they're working hard to close a deal with Teppo Numminen that would bring the 40-year-old back for another season. Numminen missed virtually all of last season due to open-heart surgery in September, and finally returned to play in the finale at Boston. But on locker clean-out day in April and in exit interviews with team officials that day, he was adamant that he wanted to play at least one more year.

If Buffalo can't make it work for some reason, some other team will definitely give Teppo a shot.

I'm a fan of Teppo's but I think at fourty and coming off major heart surgery maybe he should call it a day. I know he's probably in great shape but with the heart problem it might be a little safer.

I like Teppo, always thought he was a good defenceman.
Coming back from a broken bone or something is one thing...open heart surgery? Well, maybe he should REALLY think about this

I don't about boycotting the stories on Mini Me...it's usually a good starting point for the abuse, (like casting the wizard Of Oz with some of these guys...Lindros and the Cowardly Lion, etc.)
