I can't help but wonder if the main reason Yates is going after Menard is his dad's big money sponosorship. That goes a long way when it comes to two teams that have had only a partial season of being sponsored and the rest came from Yates' pocket.

If Hendrick doesn't see improvement by at least the middle of next year, he'll make a crew chief change. He'll either give TOny Jr. another job as a Cup crew chief or something else inside of the organization. Maybe something that doesn't entail him going to the race each weekend. I don't see Hendrick letting this thing fester....unless they're winning every week.

One more thing, more than one coach has told me on more than one occasion, if you do the right things on the field you won't put yourself in the situation that a bad call could go against and ultimately cost you the game. Perhaps better play on defense or a timely first down to keep a drive alive for San Diego didn't have anything to do with the loss.

I respect Hoculi more than most refs. He has always shown fairness and has tried to always do the right thing. Is his only mistake that he admitted "he blew it" Turner? Yeah, maybe he needs to be downgraded some but to blacklist him from coming back to the NFL next year is ridicilous.

Police would not have intervened if they thought Vince was just out and watching the game with a few friends. They must have felt that he was a danger to himself or others or they wouldn't have dealt with the situation.
