I think with the Yanks their reasoning is that if ARod opts out then they lose the $11 million a year the Rangers are paying them

So, Rangers4life, how would you play Howard and Tex in the same infield in the NL? Does one of them play 3rd? It would be a great lineup for sure but it won't happen
Posted Monday May 07, 2007, About: Whatever happened to Priest Holmes?
Fonzie, my moron friend, I never said he was a great back. I was arguing with your point about Priest being a product of the system in KC. Please learn to read and then get back to me. I don't know where the Ricky reference came from either. Yes, he was replaced in both Baltimore and KC by back that could be considered better. I don't know how being replaced by 2 separate great rbs makes him mediocre when injuries led to it both times. Again, check your facts would help. And mediocre backs don't score 27 TDs. Like I said, not saying he was great, saying there wasn't a system for him to be a product of. Great O-Line in KC that helped but you could say that about any good runner. They make the O-line look better and the O-line makes them look better.
Posted Monday May 07, 2007, About: Whatever happened to Priest Holmes?
Fonzie, please learn some football. Holmes sat on the bench his rookie year. Had a 1000 yard season the next year, was injured for half a season in year three (his stats projected to another 1000 yard season over a full season). They drafted Jamal Lewis the next year and Priest played well again but Jamal was the man now.

So KC have had 2 great backs in a row and they are a system? Who was th RB before Priest? Oh yeah, Tony Richardson led them with 700 yards and 3 TDs. Maybe that year was a fluke, what about the year before: Donnell Bennett led them with 630 yards but did have 8 TDs. Wouldn't priest put up similar numbers if it was the system? Doesn't a system come from the coach. Haven't the Chiefs had 3 coaches since Priest was with the team?
