The Repubs think they are being ripped since they are being blamed for a financial crisis that they apparently tried to avoid and it started in GOVERNMENT programs like FNMA and FRMC. Those GSE's were trying to help poor people with mortgages and lucrative jobs for Democrats. And the same guys who fought regulation of those GSE's want more and bigger government programs in numerous other areas.
They got Palin to draw attention and excitment to their ticket. They were gambling with the hockey appearance. She is hated for her attractiveness and natural link with typical Americans. She was booed and deserved it for her stupidity. The posts above on her 15 minutes of fame was excellent. She and her boss are likely toast and they probably deserve to be.
Just don't ask me about Obama when more people were murdered in Chi town last year than Baghdad.
No Cowboys arrested in 2008? Really? Wow.
Who did your research the New York Times or the CIA?
Does your research show a win against Arizona, too? Must have been some game in your universe.
The NFC East is a tough place. I have thought that the Skins and Eagles would eventually give Dallas fits. And one of them might replace the Cowboys behind the Giants. I watched the Skins getting it together and predicted a better team compared to the Boys this year. Zorn is the reason. The Skins know that one win against the North Texas Overachiever (who needs the ball 81 times a game) and his band of merrie men doesn't prove a lot. They will do more.
The question is how the Eagles will play the NFL's best when they don't have whatever mojo that they used when the O line of the Steelers was on the field. If the Skins beat them around, things look bleak. And by anecdotal evidence, the Skins O line has questions, too. We shall see!
I am not sensitive but I felt disappointed for the rotten remarks made about him that were frequently borderline racist and of no value in any way.
Did that TV show "Hard Knocks" cover who he works out with in the offseason -- ahem! One is with a rival team, one might say. Those guys claim he is human and smart and sane and everything. If they are right, he must have a motivation for all this.
I not talking about Pitt but...how has PSU done against most other State Land Grant Universities lately? That is what I thought....
I have a book of the one hundred best colleges and the space for PSU is blank. Hhhhhmmmmmm....
The Pats Defense was sound but not crazy - excellent - good - like their recent run of wins might indicate. Their fans put them in a category with the '76 Steelers or '85 Bears. That is nuts.
I saw the Pats sliding this year and the loss of Brady is just another torpedo. The Jets and Miami are going to look a lot more formidable. I wish the idiot Pats fans who laughed at those teams so heartily last year and early this season were still around to watch their their guys with the smeared paint of Elvis in a colonial hat as the Fins and Jets look a whole lot better. I suspected that Favre would be good, we shall just see how good.
The Skins are on the rise!
A note to Andy: The Skins were 12 to 14 point underdogs. So what if they play Dallas tough? I called this. And....
"Nobody predicted 38 points by the Fins. Even over a weak team like the Pats! Don't try to tell me anything different.
Thanks people.
And I ask: Where are the Cowboy fans who were predicting a 30 or 40 point margin of victory? I had been predicting this Skins' for weeks. The Skins defense was UP for this game and some of the remaks here make bulletin boards.
The White Sox have won some nice bling while the Dullass Cowpies haven't won a playoff game in a decade and a third. Such poor results despite chasing the best coaches and engaging in every type of payroll and rule manipulation. Oh, yea, and you should mention moaning and personality problems among White Sox players when you have TO and Pacman suiting up every week. All players go through ups and downs. Winning a playoff game would be nice. Wouldn't it?
Humble memo to Cubs and Twins fans:
Nobody expected the CWS to get this far. They are not perfect people and I could probably tell you dirt about them since I follow the team and even spend money at the park. I am not even going to mention the struggles of your teams. I would love to see your fave teams win although I am pulling for the White Sox this year.
And to all -- watch out for Karma. Enjoying the failures, suffering or faults of others often comes home in a very ugly form. And stays for a long time.
I lay in bed at night and hear a voice. And the voice says "They choked. They cheated and lost. They lost the biggest game ever, how can they get over that? Losers forever." Then I wonder who said it. Then there is an angry mob chasing the poor guy who said it like something out of a James Bond movie. Hope he brought his Aston Martin.
