Actually trading Kennedy/Hughes would be like Ellsbury/Lester.
Hughes/Joba would be more comparable to Ellsbury/Buchholtz.
And I see Ellsbury/Lester deal as a real shot, givin how the reported price keeps going up.
Other rumor I've heard is Johan to the Reds for a combination of Homer Bailey and Edwin Encarnasion, though i don't see that happening.
Interesting article, thought I don't see the Yankees giving up Kennedy and Hughes. But I would like to see Reyes in a Twins uniform.
Sabathia was 5th in ERA, tied for 4th in WHIP, 17th in BAA, 5th in Ks, 1st in IP...
Beckett was 6th in ERA, tied for 4th in WHIP, 7th in BAA, 7th in Ks and 19th in IP...
Santana was 7th in ERA, 1st in WHIP, 3rd in BAA, 2nd in Ks and 6th in IP...
Who was the best pitcher of the 3? Santana was the only one in the top 3 in 3 of the 5 categories...and, again, the only one in the top 7 in all 5...

Rather then saying it again, I will go back to Jim's post. Take a look at those numbers yourself, in what some call an off year. There's no question who the best pitcher is.
Jim L. is speaking as a Twin fan who knows. And I would also claim to be one of those. The Twins need a 3B more then anything else, I mean who wants to see Nick Punto starting there for us. But besides the Dodgers and Angels, no one else has a 3B that we would want. And both those teams need offense more. I think a deal to the Dodgers would be best for the Twins, but I don't know if that will happen. So the Twins go to their second pressing need: a CF to replace Hunter. And losing Santana, another pitcher would be useful, especially with the reported Garza-Delmon Young trade. Jim knows what he's talking about. And it looks like you don't.

1) Pretty sure Yankee Fans are the dumbest in baseball.
2) I would be extremely dissapointed if all the Twins got for the best pitcher in baseball, who will be that good for the next 8 years, is Kennedy/Hughes and Cabrera, or Bucholtz/Lester and Coco.
And yes, Santana is that great hyper.

And for all you saying that teams should just wait, these guys want to win now. I guarentee that the Twins get a good deal out of this, if they do trade him.
