This thread started out sensible...now it got dumb. I agree with the possiblilty of trading Hall and a prospect for Nathan. We let Cordero walk after he got greedy for a lousy 4 mil more and an extra year. HELL, our option year was even worth more than Cinn. Anyway...Braun is a Brewer for a long time, why would ANY team trade that type of hitting, especially for a 30 year old P. We have one of those expensive P's who can't seem to stay on the field. Braun was asked by Melvin last week if he found a good 3B replacement, would he move to left field? Without missing a beat, he said he would for the team. Remember, Braun isn't a 3B by trade...he's a SS.
It's hard to see good talent walk away, but you have to give to get (just like those **** who don't like to trade in fantasy) and if Minny got 5-7 players for 2...I'd say you were a frickin genius. I'm sorry, you just can't keep that many 10 mil players on your roster anymore and expect them to carry you forever without a supporting cast.
Personally I hope the deal goes through for Hall/Nathan, I think it would be a great fit for both. That's what a trade is supposed to do.
