All I have to say is.....Good.....man up then. Nothing better in sports than a team or unit getting pissed off and having a chip on their shoulders. We'll see what happens today when the Okie St. game kicks off. Go MU! I don't feel it's necessarily fair though when the Offense runs so quickly to judge the D when they're out there all day long and the other team throws the ball to play catch up.

Wow, we were on the exact same page there dude....scary.

I think I actually prefer Pinkel recruiting guys that aren't on the "premier schools" radars. They tend to have a chip on their shoulder and play hard to prove the snubbers wrong. That's how Boise State has been doing so well. You also don't have to worry so much about players taking money because they don't have the ego's of say, Reggie Bush. USC, Miami, etc. seem to have more problems with the Blue-Chippers that I think I'd rather not have at MU.

Maybe a few here and there would be nice though, to get on the defensive side of the ball and on the lines (size).

I attested to that earlier, the great recruiting class Pinkel has put together

Yes, you never sweat but you have to worry about all of the gloomy weather depressing you. Hey, I guess that's why you can just go to Scarecrow video and stay in.

*funny*....meant to say fun. Got a little excited there from the memories. Also, SC being South Carolina, not USC.

Being from Northwest Missouri, I can attest that Columbia is a great college atmosphere and place to.....ahem.....have some fun. I'm also an Air Force veteran and have been in many places and college towns. Austin is definitely numero uno in the category with Madison, WI and Columbia, this one in South Carolina all great as well. SC isn't so much the loyalty of fans as it is funny to party at "five-points". You been there you'll know what that is.

Are you kidding me? Seriously! Pinkel's last class included QB Blaine Gabbert from Ballwin, MO who is the No. 1 rated prep player in the state of Missouri, and No. 1 rated pro-style quarterback in his recruiting class. Was committed to Nebraska and that's why Nub fans booed the kid in Lincoln last week in mop up duty. According to Rivals rankings, the Tigers also landed WR Wes Kemp (#5), TE Andrew Jones (#3), DE Alden Smith (#6) and RB Drew Temple (#11), brother of former Tigers player Tony Temple. MU also got 4-star recruit OT Dan Hoch, another Nub commit who was Iowa's Gatorade Player of the Year, and was the top recruit coming out of the state.

Come on now, get real. Players, real players go to programs that win. It would take Pinkel YEARS to get that going again at Wash.

Posted Tuesday September 16, 2008, About: Mom: Larry Johnson is misunderstood
Tennessee knew that Young had bad passing mechanics when they drafted him. It was VERY well known so shame on the Titans for thinking they could change him. He's a runner, like Vick, so draft him as a RB or don't draft him. Tennessee's arrogance got the best of them for thinking they could change his throwing motion.

I would get my mom a muzzle and make it clear to NEVER talk to reporters. LJ had a heads up from VYoung's mama...I guess his mom can't understand LJ if he told her like what he says to reporters ever makes sense...they both should be shutting up. KC is rebuilding. Is he gonna be part of it or continue trying to not take the blame when the crowd boos? Chiefs fans should smarten up like I have and know that sometimes you take a step back to make two forward. Don't buy tickets this year to the games and you'll see the KC brass hurry things up with getting a QB. On that note, they will take one in the 1st round this year. Not last year because the QB's coming out weren't as impressive as the one's in this year's NCAA class.

I hate to see Allen go from KC and hate Peterson for letting it get this far because of personal drinking issues that Allen had and is over with now. That said, because Carl P. has ruined the feel good feeling for Allen, Allen won't resign anyway so let him go and get as much as you can for him. I think KC should hold off. Tampa HAS a first and second rounder this year, picks 20 and 52 so Minny should pony up the same thing. They won't have to forfeit a 1st rounder next year.
Posted Friday April 18, 2008, About: Vikings, Bucs eye disgruntled Chief
Hey Minidoo, you mentioned needing a TE, maybe Minny can talk Hot Carl into giving them Tony G as well. Why not right? Peterson has lost his mind and every team in the NFL should pounce and get what they can.

Also, by franchise tag rules, 'Though the franchise tag allows Allen to talk with other teams, any club attempting to sign him would have to compensate the Chiefs with two first-round draft picks.' Hey Carl, why take a 3rd rounder when you can get a 1st rounder next year? Moron.......

Carl Peterson is a train wreck. The guy brings in FA's to plug holes that are on the downside of their careers and give away draft picks. Now he's letting proven YOUNG Chiefs players get away instead of paying them for draft picks. He's black and white in his thinking.

Allen deserves the money and is the only bright spot on a perennial weakling KC defense. Carl P needs mental help. It isn't Herm's fault so why do people always suggest this. It's PETERSON every year even before Herm got there. Why does the ownership feel they have to keep his dumb ****???? Hey HOT CARL, who's team are you on? No matter what side of it you're on, you continuously make stupid decisions with draft picks and you let young talent go without even giving them a chance to play, with the likes of Kawika Mitchell.

What gives in KC?!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard being a fan of a team that the front office continues to screw the team up for the head coach. This is one instance where it is NOT the coach's fault. He has to do the best with what he's got.
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Is GM hurting Chiefs deals?
Yeah, it's Carl Peterson playing tough guy again and screwing the team on a very good player. Did I mention...AGAIN?! He tries to squeak every little dime out of every player and ticks them off to not be loyal to the team. He kills their heart and possibly makes the team have a soft mentality.

I remember when the Chiefs were the bomb. They'll be back..

KPKahder | 02/18/08, 01:32 AM

I hope so! The other day I counted how many teams have gone to the Super Bowl in the past 20 years. All of the AFC West except KC even though the Chiefs had the best record in the regular season 3 times by my count. Getting rid of Gannon way back and Derrick Thomas dying was the beginning of all this anguish. Seeing Gannon in the Super Bowl with the Raiders sucked!

I'll add that I like both Bibby and Artest, just not with Sac. Artest needs to be a 3rd option in an offense and if he can suck it up and realize he's a defense guy then Denver is the best fit. He has to realize that he's a joke on offense as a #1 or #2 threat in the NBA.

Denver #1 scoring option Melo #2 Iverson (or flip-flop that) #3 Artest would be killer. Iverson and Artest on D would be lethal.

Houston #1 T-Mac #2 Yao #3 Artest. Artest would give the team some toughness that the Rockets would need to be a top-tier team in the West.

The Suns could use the toughness and it doesn't really matter who shoots there so maybe Phoenix? Hmmmm
Posted Monday February 18, 2008, About: Sacramento not done dealing
Good riddance Bibby! He was a streaky shooter at best and I feel he strongly disliked that Artest is a ball hog that feels the offense should revolve around him. Bibby passes to Artest and it's gone until the next trip down the floor. The offense never flows with Artest on the team thinking he's an offensive force (or farce?) As a Kings fan since they were in KC, both should go. One down; one to go.

What is it about players doing well for other teams except KC? Every time the Chiefs get somebody they do crappy for them, ie Law. Look at Kawika Mitchell and Tynes going to the Giants, Kendrell Bell was great in Pittsburgh until KC got him. It's difficult being a Chiefs fan when they live for the Free Agents that are aging instead of the draft. Get Carl Peterson out of KC petition can sign here.
