Mets2008's Comments

Posted Monday August 25, 2008, About: Mets may shut down Maine
Well I am excited and going crazy that this race will go down to the wire. I am hoping the Mets will will tonight against Houston, and the Dodgers salvage atleast one game against the Phils. Then the Mets would have a 1 1/2 game lead going in to the short series in Philly.
Posted Friday August 15, 2008, About: Source: Patriots beat Jets to Lynch
Well whatever. It doesn't metter who the Patriots sign. ANd back to earlier comments, The fact that Mangini pulled the flag on the Patriots fine by me. THe Jets were just the only team to come forward. I am certain that the Patriots have done that crap with other teams. Mangini probably told the Pats don't pull that crap on me or else. Besides it doen't make him a snitch. He is just evening the playing field. If you don't want him to forward and you claim him to be a snitch...DON"T GIVE HIM A REASON TOO!
Posted Tuesday August 05, 2008, About: Mets to make run at Garcia
Another bit.. you never know what you will get. Good example....Loshe, at the beginning of the season did anyone see him doing this well?
Posted Tuesday August 05, 2008, About: Mets to make run at Garcia
You have to look at the options here. It is a low risk. If he sux then adios at the end of the season. But if he doesn't work out in the starter role I could totally see him as a long guy in the bullpen which the Mets need. The best long man in the bullpens are former starters. Go get him. What do you have to loose? GO METS!
Posted Monday August 04, 2008, About: Clemens closing on Pennington
Well I am up in the air. As a Jets fan I could see it going either way. I think I would have to lean towards Clemens though. He is younger and has a better arm, although he has to get more experience under his belt to become a better quarterback. You cant get any exp if you sit on the sideline. Right now Clemens is the Jets future, and hopefully it works out and he is under center for many years to come. Last season was hard, bottom line there was no line. WIth all of the upgrades everything should improve, qb running game defense. I can't wait.
GO JETS!
Posted Friday July 25, 2008, About: Met's celebration irks Phillies
Well I have to agreee with some of you. Who gives a crap. Really if the Phillies are upset beecause the Mets won the game, oh an by the way it was a big series enmotions are high, but again if the Phillies are going to complain they are a bunch a freaking cry babies and should grow up. Oh and by the way Chase Utley is NOT winning the MVP.!
Posted Friday July 25, 2008, About: Rollins in Phillies doghouse
Good he is a punk anyway.
Posted Thursday July 17, 2008, About: Rockies shopping Holliday for Beltran?
Well I agree I don't know if I would pull the trigger on this one. If the Mets get Holliday and give up Beltran. They didn't accomplish much. We need a left fielder. But if your centerfielder is taken away to get the left fielder, now you need a centerfielder. However I am totally for getting Holliday it will take a lot. Are the Mets that desperate to give up their top prospect? I DON't know!
Posted Monday June 02, 2008, About: Pedro: We owe Mets fans for '07
Good Im happy he said this. I say hit the ball rolling lets get it done!
Posted Monday June 02, 2008, About: Jets' Jones faces uncertain future
Thomas Jones I like to have in the backfield. Because the lack of o-line support last season, and the additions this offseason, I look for Jones to have a better season.
Posted Monday April 28, 2008, About: Delgado refuses Shea curtain call
Listen Delgado probably did not feel the need to go out there. What happens if the next two games he goes 1 for 8 with 4 strikeouts. He would get booed again. I think he is waiting to be more valuable. If he gets hot, or hits a game winning homerun in the bottom of the 9nth thats what he is looking for.
Posted Tuesday April 15, 2008, About: Mets fans let Santana have it
Ok I am a huge Mets fan, but come on. It is a season only three weeks in. To boo him is dumb. There is no real reasono why he should get booed. If it is August and he is 5-10 with a 4.85era, then there is a reason. RELAX PEOPLE! Why don't you save those booes for the other team---DUH!
Posted Friday April 04, 2008, About: A's Harden auditions for other teams
Well adding more to the Mets rotation would be cool, but there is one issue. THe Mets have nothing to trade. Most of their prospects are with the Twins now from the Santana trade. So I don't think it will happen.
Posted Monday March 24, 2008, About: Tigers in market for reliever
I think that I would deal with the Tigers over the Blue Jays or Pirates. If you could get that guy Thames...he could play first and outfield. A good fit.
Posted Monday March 10, 2008, About: Mets eye Pirates outfielder
Hey you guys are forgeting, if the taxi accident didn't happen, we would have not traded nady, but on the flip side we would have not gotten Perez.
Posted Friday March 07, 2008, About: Mets interested in Tigers outfielder
Well before ALou got hurt, which was highly likely, I thought that the Mets were ok. I want to see what Church brings and some of the younger players, but now this happened, picking up Thames would be a nice fit, but I do not think that the Mets should not trade too much away. Especially when the bullpen was a problem. Just some advice. If you can get him with one maybe two players that are not so critical to the bullpen then great!
Posted Friday February 22, 2008, About: Broncos shopping Walker
The Jets should get him..only if it doesn't cost a boat load of money on a guy with knee problems.
Posted Friday February 22, 2008, About: Mets' best closer prospect
Yah I have to agree. I think giving Kunz some experience in the bigs this season, and see what you got. Maybe you could even give Wagner a couple of breaks and let him try his hand at a few games of closing. This would be good if it pans out, and we wouldn't have to shell out money ono a closer in the next couple of seasons. We could focus that money elsewhere too. ie like another starter. But thats thinking way to far in advance Now is 2008. GO METS!
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Anaheim's top trade targets
I mean that Sundin will not be available.
Posted Wednesday February 20, 2008, About: Anaheim's top trade targets
Being a Ducks fan I think that they should get Hossa. I do not think Sundin will not be available. Any way a decent pick up will help the Ducks try to repeat as cup champs. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Posted Sunday February 17, 2008, About: Beltran: Mets will win East
This is another great way to make the Phillies Mets rivalry even bigger than it already is. I am ready. GO METS!
