A lot of UT fans like the gators and vice-versa. I can't tell you why that is, but I have liked the gators for a while and even more so since they beat the crap out of OSU in the title game. Plus, how can not like Tebow? He's a great player and a genuinely good person.

My point exactly. The one game they play decent in winds up being against a system that he worked with and a coach he worked with in the recent past. Anyone can look at the defensive performances of OU and say "FLUKE!" to one freaking game. On the other hand, OU-homers all think that one decent performance makes your team look solid. I think OU fans translate to Eagles fans once they migrate to the pros, cause both fan bases seem to like the "one-win-and-I'm-hot" philosophy.

OSU isn't dependent on turf and speed of play to win. They are soft against great passing teams, which honestly is not what OU is. They can and will stop the run.

That Cincy is ranked is a joke, despite OU letting them throw up 26 on them. The teams Texas has played have better collective records than OU's opponents. Easy to look at numbers and reach reality.

Also, the polls can take note of the 28+ points that OU allowed against garbage unranked teams like A&M, Nebraska, Kansas State, and Kansas. That D isn't fit to play in any NC game, and anyone in the SEC will tell you that.

Texas has only allowed more than 14 against one unranked team (Baylor). One game you can call flukey, but 4 unranked teams running the score up?? Play some defense and earn the votes for once.

This is the same team that tries to restrict selling tickets to people (and tells season ticket holders not to as well) who are not loyal Cardinal fans? Seriously, who does that? The Cardinals have no right to cry foul for any reason.

BTW, that quote was from Mark Schlabach, who is a huge SEC homer. You can't get much more neutral than someone who doesn't care one way or another what happens in the Big12. I gaurantee you this much, Mack is going to have a lot of negative feelings against him because he has openly supported, right or wrong, the concept of a partial 8-team playoff as proposed by Obama recently. A lot of the typically overrated (see OU) teams' personnel are mum about the topic because they want the dollars to keep flowing regardless of the skill of the team they field. While Stoops talks openly about why his team is the best BCS vote candidate, Mack stays silent publicly and to his team, because he believes that the best team should be voted in, not the one that cries the most. Class (Mack) versus classless (Stoops, Leach) will likely result in the classless going on to the title game, but then that's why people are tired of the BCS rewarding the NCAA a-s-s-h-a-t-s and screwing those with class over.
