You gotta love Phil Jackson. Let's wait for game 2. I don't know if Pierce is really hurt as bad as he originally thought, but I hope he can play. When he went down, I recall hoping it wasn't serious. I'm a Laker fan for life, but there's no sportsmanship in hoping a player gets hurt. The blame should really be put on the folks calling the game @ ABC, not Pierece or Boston. I was definitely annoyed by the fake drama of the situation, but that's what the media does. I can see the folks at TD Bank North playing it up, but what else can they do? The Celtics have sucked since their last championship (with the excpetion of 2-3 seasons), so they've got to milk it. This has become a trend fo the Lakers, Odom and Gasol phoning it in for one game....it happend in the Utah and Spurs series. They'll make the adjustment and should be able to tie up the series, whether Pierece plays or not. The last time I checked, Utah was a physical team, moreso than Boston and we closed them out in Utah. I didn't mention Denver on purpose.....

Had to say it twice, huh?

Nah arejaydub....it's not that deep bro. Just put the ball in the basket. Do it more than your opponent and you win....
Posted Monday April 28, 2008, About: Carmelo upset with coach
It's a shame. This team has too much talent to continuously lose....It's the coach. Karl has to go, but he won't. This is a big problem in the NBA...the coaching carousel. Let some of these old guys who haven't produced go...stop giving them jobs on other teams, just to let them go anyway. It would be easier to just give them a consultant fee and let someone else coach. The Nuggets lose because there is no continuity to their game. No sets, not enough passing and no defense. These guys have convinced themselves getting steals & Camby blocking shots (after blown defensive assignments) is defense. It isn't. Hopefully, the Lakers will put a bullet in Ol' Yeller and call it a day. It's a shame...

Please do....and will someone get Mark Cuban an adult-sized shirt? No more mediums....
Posted Monday April 28, 2008, About: LeBron-Stevenson feud heats up
Deshawn who? Who cares about Stevenson or the Wiz? They suck....Hopefully, they'll lose and we can move on to a real series. Lebron gets the majority of the calls just like all of the other stars in the league. It's nothing different. I thought he should have been thrown out of the game because of the wind-up before he hit Lebron in the noggin. Nothing wrong with hard fouls...but dirty fouls? C'mon. It isn't as is Deshawn Stevenson is anybody anyway. Someone tell that fool to get a shave.....I understand the whole bet with Drew Gooden, but enough already. The Wiz are what they've always been, whether you call them the Wizards or Bullets...same result. This will be the 3rd time they've lost to Cleveland. By the way, it's only a rivalry if the other team wins.....

I agree....Everyone loves a winner, huh?
Posted Monday April 21, 2008, About: How 76ers suckered Pistons
They'll probably win, but I woudn't mind seeing them lose. I'm getting tired of this whole "royalty" attitude. They won the title in 04'. Hey guys, it's 2008. They keep acting like they've won something and they haven't. Didn't they get knocked out of the playoffs the past couple of years by teams they were "better" than? Meanwhile, look at the C's. I'm a Laker fan, but I can respect how those guys approach the game and their opponents. The Piston's haven't won enough for their lack of humility. Win a championship, or **** and play ball!
Posted Monday April 21, 2008, About: Suns losing faith in D'Antoni
It's not D'Antoni's fault...This is what you get when you let the media exhault you to levels you haven't earned. Am I the only one who know's the NBA has at least 12 really, really bad teams...and the upper echelon teams keep beating up on them? When the Suns began this "mad" exodus towards a championship, I knew it wouldn't work (Yeah, I'm counting this year as well). You can't win with coach D's style. It looks really good, when they're running around, jacking threes and blowing out teams during the regular season. The problem is, those bad teams aren't anywhere to be seen in the playoffs. With time to prepare and rest up, along with a more relaxed traveling schedule, things are always different. All of those wins and nothing to show for it. The problem is, coach D won Coach of the year with this style and even picked up (2) MVPs for Stevie Nash. Chris Paul's numbers are better than Stevie's MVP years (both), so I guess he should win right? The Suns are built (and coached) for the regular season. I'm not sure if they can or can't beat the Suns, but they'll never win a championship as presently constructed. You can take this to the bank....it will NEVER happen. Show me one team, with a score-only mentality, who has won in the NBA? There aren't any. Shaq was a nice pickup for the Suns, since they couldn't rebound (only STAT), but he can't save em'. Besides, they can't beat my Lakers anyway.

Back up the bus!!! Just give me David Lee. Everyone else is expendable.
Posted Wednesday April 02, 2008, About: Reporter: Shaq ran Van Gundy off
That's no surprise. If you want Shaq, you gotta take the good with the bad. The good - 06' Ring. The bad - 60 games a season on average, slow on defense, won't roll on defense, misses more free throws and ever and sulking. Shaq makes bad exits, plain and simple. Don't feel bad Stan. One of the sports media guys called this one (I don't remember who it was) and at the time, I thought he was just hatin' on Shaq, but damn, what do you know? He was traded to a good team and he's still talkin smack....
Posted Wednesday April 02, 2008, About: Nowitzki's remarkable recovery
Thanks EastcoastJessie....you beat me to it. Amen to that. About as soft as they come. The Mavs went from underachieving, to choke-artists, to overrated and now overwhelmed in 4 years. It's a good think J Kidd has helped them win the big games against the NBA's +500 club. Oh yeah, that's right, they're 0-for everything. Good job Markie Cuban.
Posted Wednesday April 02, 2008, About: Nash pushing Amare for MVP
C'mon Stevie!! Amare always gets his numbers, whether the Suns win or lose, hence the nickname "Stat". For my money, KG, Kobe, Lebron or CP3 would make me happy. Dirk definitely didn't deserve it last year. He just played on a team that won a ton of games, but couldn't get out the first round. He should have given it back....If Paul doesn't play, the Hornets can probably win, but won't dominate. If KG doesn't play, the C's struggle. No Kobe? Next question....we already know the answer to that. LBJ's a one-man wrecking crew on an absolutely awful Cavs team. I don't mean to leave out TD, but the Spurs are pretty boring.....

Oh yeah, here comes the pain!!
Posted Thursday March 20, 2008, About: Cuban, Avery clash after loss
The Mavericks were overrated when they won all of those games last year. I was accused of hatin and not knowing the game. I predicted it. It's pretty simple...there are a ton of really bad teams in the NBA. Just ask the Rockets.....Dallas beat the teams they were supposed to..most of the time and got bounced out of the first round. They didn't choke. To say they choked would mean they were a great team. AJ is okay as a coach, I've seen much worse, but somethin's gotta give. They haven't beat a +500 team since dumping a 24 year old PG and a bag of cash in the NJ swamps....
Posted Thursday March 20, 2008, About: Knicks coaching candidates
Please no Scott Skiles....He's overrated. Yelling at grown men doesn't work. I have no problem going with Jackson, even though he's never coached int he pros. Didn't Larry Brown have pro coaching experience? And Don Chaney? And Lenny Wilkens? Do I need to go on. If you look at everyone's stats, their best post-Van Gundy coach, pound-for-pound is Herb Williams. Mark my words, HW will be a good coach down the line. The Knicks are idiots for bringing in and keeping Thomas. He was a good player, not great. His team was the reason why they won and he's still living off the same tired rep.
Posted Thursday March 20, 2008, About: Knicks coaching candidates
Please no Scott Skiles...I watched him play. He coaches the same way....overachieves. He's an overratd coach. Whether or not anyone likes it, you can't yell at millionaires. He's only good at one thing, maximizing potentional, which alone is bad. The problem is, his style. Yelling at grown men just doesn't work in the pros, just ask PJ Carlisemo. It seems like everyone is upset with today's players because their too spoiled, but how many of these people have kids with LCDs & flat screens in their bedrooms? Were a spoiled society. You want to see yelling, watch a college BB game. Please no Skiles
