Man I needed a good joke this morning!
Well, in response to the title, yes, Carter will demand a trade after the 08-09 season. If the Nets continue to tank, Carter will whine, profess "no more dunking...", and bring down team morale as he is the franchise player. After next season, and next summer (minus LeBron), Carter will demand out of New Jersey....
The Nets made a huge mistake in (1) giving Carter the huge contract, and (2) trading everybody else not named Carter. It will be tough to trade him anywhere as it is no secret in the league that Carter is 'soft', and not a leader, while being paid to be otherwise.
Shaq *WAS* awesome, but he didn't fit too well with the D'antoni scheme. Let's see what the 08-09 season holds.
Reality TV = uuugghhhh!!!
-Waste of time...
- Too bad for New Jersey. (All this talk of 'waiting for LeBron...- a waste). -It was a good idea to build your franchsie around to Vince Carter, who's probably thining... "Man, I'm still here..."
Carter is a CRY BABY!!! He did the same thing in Toronto. He got his huge payday, and then, MID-SEASON, decided he did not want to play for the Raptors anymore. He threatened "...no more dunks..." and played softer than his normal soft-game.
Looks like the Nets are building a team around Carter. Certainly not a good strategy, given Carter's history in the NBA.
Nets are lottery bound for 08-09...!
In his prime, I loved Allan Houston. He was awesome. But it should remain so; 'was'. Allan, go into broadcasting or something, if you wanna remain with the game. But there's no need to un-retire.
You will be missed Chidress, you will be missed!!! hahahahaha
But you're thinking looooong term. for 2008-09, they Memphis sure got dumped on. Look at the size of the contracts they have to pay out, and get very little in return.
Why is D. Wade automatically under consideration for this spot?
Calderon will not be booking a moving company to move his stuff. He'll be staying put.
TJ Ford on the other hand, would be well advised to look for the best deal when it comes to moving-truck rentals... The same with Joey Graham and well, most of the Raptors bench!
But the post season is what matters.
I think Flip has what it takes to make it work in Phoenix. It will surely be a change of style from D'Antoni, but he can make it work. I think he has more to offer than Phoenix's current hopeful, Porter.
