Penn State is only better off if the team freakin' wins on the field. I don't want either of these guys coaching. Is Kerry Collins looking for work?

Let's give Dixon some credit. He may be the best recruiter in college basketball. He doesn't have the name (UNC, Kansas, UCLA) or the location (Florida, Arizona, USC) to draw talent to his school. He does have this unbelievable ability to get kids to come to a cold, small city and play top tier Big East b-ball. There have been way too many McDonald's all americans who have never made it at the college level, they are irrelevant. I think Dixon knows true talent by know.

Roy Williams is a great recruiter.... Someone offer him the head coaching job for the Penn State Football team!!!
Posted Thursday June 12, 2008, About: Paterno not hurting recruiting
9-4. 9-4. 11-1. 4-7. 3-9. 9-4. PSU-FAN, if those are the records of teams with good recruiting, I'd hate to see bad recruiting! Beat Michigan and OSU in the same year and win the Big 10, than you can talk about respecting PSU as a program. Right now I could name you 40 teams with 9-4 records, only the LSUs, OSUs, and USCs wouldn't be any of those teams! Penn State won two national titles in the '80s and the '94 team may or may not have deserved a share, but the fact remains that 20 years without a title for a program that preaches tradition and a "powerhouse" mentality is just way too long.

Larry Johnson is actually the one recruiting the guys PSU is getting, but he's not landing superb recruits. Check any top 100 or 150 recruit board and PSU maybe gets - 1? Go back 5, 10 years and it's the same deal. Yea, there are always going to be 20 guys who go to PSU based on the name of the school alone. Top 100 guys go to schools with coaches and programs that are truly capable of winning a national championship. Penn State isn't recruiting these guys. Why? Because deep down, no one believes PSU will win a national title. They can't even get out of the Big 10 season without losing to OSU and Michigan!
Posted Monday June 09, 2008, About: Paterno won't name starting QB
Come on efs120, I'm talking about through the years. Honestly, does anyone out there hope for better than 9-3 with this team who will be without its best linebacker? Paterno is a joke even to the most die hard PSU fans. Paterno doesn't recruit for crap, his assistants do. How they do is beyond me?
Posted Monday June 09, 2008, About: Paterno won't name starting QB
No efs 120, Wisconsin lost. We haven't "beaten" anyone in years.
Posted Sunday June 08, 2008, About: Paterno won't name starting QB
Does it really matter? There are a few teams named Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois? Am I forgetting anyone? We can't beat these guys no matter who we have at QB. Come on, we have a severe lack of depth and athleticism that these schools never seem to have. Is hoping for 9-3 anything to be proud of? Yes, I'm a PSU alum, not a hater, just a realist.
Posted Saturday March 22, 2008, About: Buckeyes have Pryor concerns
Pryor played in the Double AA classification in Pennsylvania. If he played Quad AAAA ball he would have been run of the mill. He played against 5' 7'', 160 pound high school kids. At his size, yes, he stood out. When he walks onto the field at OSU he'll find out that everyone is his size if not bigger. Let's wait and see how he does on an even playing field. My money is on an average to lackluster career at best.
