Posted Wednesday November 26, 2008, About: Browns owner contemplating changes
From what I read before this season started he got a 2 year extention!! Not looking quite as good now! I'm sure Lerner will shuffle things around in the off season and make some progress. He's been a great owner with Aston Villa in the EPL, not interferring too much, and leaving the relevant people to it. By far the best foreign owner we have here in England!
Posted Friday November 21, 2008, About: A's join crowd chasing Furcal
I don't see why the Cubs would pursue him. They already have Ryan Theriot (not sure on the spelling?) at SS, and all i've heard is praise for him?!
Posted Sunday November 09, 2008, About: Cardinals leading chase for Holliday
Why sign Holliday with a crowded outfield already? Ludwick played some great baseball this season and I really enjoyed watching him, so i'd keep him if I was the Card's. As others have said pitching and infield help are needed above outfield help.
Posted Saturday November 08, 2008, About: Cubs dilemma: Peavy or Roberts
I can understand them taking Roberts. They want more balance in their line up with left handed hitters or switch hittersl; Roberts gives you that. The Cubs also want a new lead off hitter, allowing them to drop Soriano down the order, so that they can benefit from his power with potentially more guys in scoring position in front of him. Again Roberts could allow the Cubs to do this. So maybe choosing Roberts would not be all bad.
Posted Friday October 31, 2008, About: Questions surround Beckham's AC Milan deal
I personally can't see him signing full time with AC Milan. He seems to have enjoyed his time over in LA, and his family is settled there, so I don't feel he would move them so far, so soon after moving state side. As far as benefits of this, I think the fact that he will be keeping himself in shape for Milan and England games is good, as well as maybe him experiencing new styles of play with italian football, that he could bring back to the US.
Posted Thursday October 30, 2008, About: Neutral sites for future World Series?
I agree with the other comments, a neutral site would be bad for Baseball! You loose the home field advantage, and travel for fans would be costly! Shortening the season though, I think would be good. Not by too much but maybe 10 - 15 games.
Posted Sunday October 19, 2008, About: Giants in market for Manny, Burrell, Young?
With only hitting 94 HR's this season (lowest in the MLB) I think the Giants need to bolster their lineup with more than just one guy. So maybe going for someone like delmon young, may allow them to also spend some salary cap on another postional player to bolster their lineup in more than one place, not something that Manny will likely allow you to do with the money he is after.
Posted Saturday September 06, 2008, About: United losing corporate support?
The only reason for this story I can see, is that United along with Chelsea have purchased numerous players over the past few seasons on credit, which hasn't been completly paid back as of yet, accoriding to UEFA president Michael Platini. So a fall in the use of corporate boxes that cost a fortune, could hurt the team quite considerably. On a side note, hopefully United won't be the best in the world this time around!!
Posted Saturday September 06, 2008, About: Mangini open to Pennington return
A bit of an odd comment I think. I haven't heard anything about Chad saying he wishes to coach after he finishes playing, or that he is looking to finish playing any time soon. So why would Mangini come out with these sort of comments?!
Posted Sunday August 10, 2008, About: Goodell considers 18-game schedule
I think there are a couple of more important issues Goddell needs to deal with at the moment other than this. But the pre-season should defineatly be shrunk down to 2 games, but whether 18 regular season games should be played, I'm not too sure!

Posted Sunday July 20, 2008, About: Favre-Vikings deal could be win-win
I personally would think that Brett would have greater respect for the Packers than to go to a divison rival!! A very messy situation for Favre!
Posted Saturday June 14, 2008, About: NFL meets on proposed LA stadium
Not only 1, but two previous NFL teams have left the city, so will it be third time lucky; or is LA just not a city that wants an NFL franchise?!!
Posted Thursday May 29, 2008, About: Urlacher faces minicamp showdown
As 'True Bears Fan' said, Urlacher has had probelms with his neck. There were rumors going around a number of months ago that he may not be fit enough to play in the 08 season, or he certainly wouldn't perform at his best! With the problems and distractions he is causing the Bears, and his uncertanity with his neck; I think they should shop him!
Posted Thursday May 29, 2008, About: Minaya defends playing Church
Another article I saw said Church had said, he'd felt dizzy and had, had headaches every day since his collision with Escobar. Surely if he says he isn't feeling great then he should not be playing! But then with the way the Mets are playing right now, maybe he felt the need to try and help his team out!!
Posted Sunday May 11, 2008, About: Coach unsure of Shockey's future
I think they should get rid of him! Kevin Boss and Eli seemed to hook up nicely last season and Shockey demands the ball too much from Eli and is too self centred in my opinion!!
Posted Monday May 05, 2008, About: Guillen goes off on media, fans
I think Ozzie has done pritty well so far this season. The Sox weren't expected to really contend in the Central and they've led the divison the past few weeks. Like every team, they will go through abit of a rough patch, and hopefully this will be it for the Sox, so they can easily bounce back with plenty of games left this season!
Posted Monday May 05, 2008, About: Was Hamlin's caution trick dirty?
The Marbles - Shrub getting up and into Jr was purley a racing incident and these things happen often. Harvick getting into Stewart at Bristol is the most recent I can remember. After that it was talked about abit, but then put down to a racing incident and people moved on! This I feel was also a racing incident and people should stop complaining about it and move on. As far as Hamlin playing a part in this I think that is mad! Busch getting under Jr could easily happen even if the caution didn't wave.
Posted Thursday May 01, 2008, About: No conspiracy in Biffle's move
I can understand why people analyse film after races and think about all the little details that went into it. It can be fun to do that!! But you have to remember, like the article says that everything is done within a fraction of a second and judgements on certain circumstances have to be made really quickly!
Posted Wednesday April 30, 2008, About: Man City to sack Goran-Eriksson
Sven is by no means over rated! If you look at the stats for Man City from this time last season compared to now, they have improved! They are 4 places higher in the standings, have gained 13 more points and have an increase in Goals per game from 1.16 to 1.52!! All signs that Man City are moving in the right direction!
Posted Saturday March 29, 2008, About: MLS favors Premier League model
MSFC3221 - what you say is quite true. The English Prenier League has been in this country for years. It's just it changed it's name to the Premier league in 1992! Before then it was known as the First divison. Although the MLS seems to get little press in the States from what I understand; I heard that around 18 million people across the US have an interest in soccer, so surely things aren't that bad for the MLS and american soccer?!
