Posted Sunday July 13, 2008, About: Yankees, Red Sox chasing Pirate
Even the Pirates aren't crazy enough to send those guys within the division. Marte will go to the highest bidder (probably not anybody in the Central) and Bay will go far far away. The new management can't afford to trade away their stud and have him come back to bite them again and again.
Posted Monday June 16, 2008, About: Pirates may start dealing soon
I say LaRoche and Bay will likely go. I would love to see Nady stay, but considering who his agent is it might be more cost-effective to trade him for somebody younger. McCutchen will be in center by the start of next year, with McLouth in left, and hopefully Nady will stick around in right. Pearce will be at first, and maybe even Neil Walker at third??? Get Bautista out. There was also talk earlier this year about a three CF outfield with Nyjer Morgan and McCutchen joining McLouth. Who knows, though, it is the Pirates.

Side note: I'm about to watch Randal Simon and Bobby Hill play for the Newark Bears against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. Anybody want to compare Hill's career now to that of the guy he was traded for, Aramis Ramirez??
Posted Saturday May 31, 2008, About: U.S. military embraces MMA
Once Brian Stann gets to the UFC, their will be a good shot at a military team being formed. The active Marine is one of the most dominant fighters I've seen in the WEC, I'd love to see him go face the big guns.
Posted Saturday May 31, 2008, About: White: Slice isn't worthy of TV debut
I agree. And anybody who thinks that an accomplished mixed martial artist won't destroy Kimbo, look at the Brock Lesnar fight. He was a much better athlete and brawler then Mir, but he got tapped because he doesn't know how to get it done yet. Kimbo is about ten times worse in that capacity, too.
Posted Tuesday May 27, 2008, About: White: Penn would annihilate Slice
Dana White is just doing what Dana White does. He speaks his mind on ANYTHING, that's why he's so entertaining. He's speaking the truth on Slice, too. Liddell summed it up when he asked people what would happen if HE took a camera on the streets and started knocking out random people. Slice isn't a real fighter, he's a street thug with no credibility who would get DOMINATED by anybody in the UFC.
Posted Saturday May 17, 2008, About: D'Antoni may bring back Ewing
Ewing is a good coach for the big men (Randolph and Curry definitely need it) not to mention that Randolph Morris could have a future if he was under the right wing. It also doesn't hurt to show a little loyalty by bringing back one of the old guard...doesn't quite make up for not hiring Mark Jackson but it's a good gesture.

Hahahahahaha "They are who we thought they were!" I love it
Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: Mets pitcher rips Nats cheerleading
If this were a relevant pitcher, I would understand. Sportsmanship should be encouraged. But, Nelson Figueroa? Do the Mets have any legit pitchers aside from Johan?
Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: Ortiz to reform Team Punishment
Who says it'll be the same members? Tito is a great businessman, and if he can promise strong young fighters that they'll get exposure and make money, he won't have any problem recruiting some top notch talent. I would love to see him back at the top, he's too entertaining to leave out of the show.
Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: Nogueira, Mir coach Ultimate Fighter
Lesnar in a couple years will be an animal. For now, Mir is just a better, smarter fighter. I'm glad they're putting heavyweights on the show though, it seems like nobody cares about the division anymore. Maybe if there are some good characters to go along with good fighters then people will become more interested in the division.
Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: T.O. wants to end career with 'Boys
If his career ended the first game of the season with the 'boys, in either an injury or a yeast infection, I'd be thrilled.
Posted Tuesday May 13, 2008, About: Will Knicks go after Nash?
The Knicks don't need Nash. He's still a great player but he's getting up there in age. By the time this happens he will REALLY have no chance of guarding anybody, and it'll be like when the Mavs picked up Jason Kidd. Draft Rose, trade away Randolph and Curry, stay away from Barbosa and Diaw, and build the team up. The Knicks always get in trouble by going for the quick fix instead of being patient and taking maybe two or three years to build a competitive team. Even with Nash/Diaw/Barbosa, unless Amare comes too this team still won't be more than an 8 seed in the East.
Posted Sunday May 04, 2008, About: When Pirates prospects attack
"Hit's a guy with a bat, and he can't swing hard enough to hurt him??? No wonder he was released..."

Too bad he's a pitcher so that doesn't matter...
Posted Wednesday April 23, 2008, About: Pirates may buy out Morris
Morris and LaRoche make more money than anybody on the Pirates, and they've been arguably the worst players this year (and I only say arguably because Jose Bautista is still on the team). Getting rid of Morris might not be the best solution with the money issues, but sticking him in the bullpen and giving Van Benschoten another try wouldn't be a bad option.
Posted Thursday April 10, 2008, About: Favre would play in Packers pinch
Brett Favre can do or say whatever he wants, he's Brett Favre. It's like when Jordan or Clemens decided to come back; Whenever he feels the urge again, it's his team to lead.
