I don't see nothing wrong with this because this forces your team to rely on finding up and coming talent. This will increase player development in the youth rank, and instead of looking for the next brazilian or argentinian phenom, now you will have to look at smaller teams in Italy that have solid young players.
Yea it sucks for the other teams, but the rules are the rules and good for Santos in taking advantage of it.
And dont be surprised if America doesnt end up with Blanco. They are not the high spenders that they once were. Other Mexican teams are willing to lay down some serious cash. For instance Tigres reportedly has offered 5 million dollars for El Bofo Bautista. America rarely spends more than 3 million for a player. In fact Cabanas, their best signing recently, cost them like 1 million. Like always they will go to Argentina to find replacements, and they will fail.
What they need to do is go to Cameroon and find the next Biyik! Or Kalusha! lol. Or you know, steal from San Luis.
Im not too sure about Santos sending some young players to Fire would be a good idea. We kind of saw that with Chivas-Chivas USA, and the only thing good that came out of it was Panchito Mendoza, which I wouldn't be surprised if he made a move to Chivas. The other players Chivas sent to Chivas USA are either still on the bench, or are currently playing the 2nd division in Mexico. And I doubt Santos would want to send important bench players.
By the way...How the hell is the conference finals one game and the playoff series before that final 2 games.
And I don't watch the MLS a lot, but how does New York make it to the WESTERN conference finals. Is there a shortage of western cities to host MLS teams? Will they be moved to the east once Seattle. who knows. Or shall I say who knows esse. Since we all talk the same way.
Its no like the other sports either. Because it is a melting pot in Miami, you have people from New York, Chicago, Boston, etc. They have their loyalties to their yankees, patriots, cubs, etc. But seriously, none of these people are die-hard MLS fans. So y not try to attract with a MIAMI team, not a ft. lauderdale team who called themselves the Miami Fusion.
Also maybe Barcelona could send some B squad players down here for a season or 2.
By the way im watching the Texas vs. OU game and McCoy, Texas quarterback keeps flopping after the late hits to get a penalty on the other team. Its funny how the commentator is saying, Thats soccer! Thats Soccer! lol. I'm like, no!!! thats wat u call winning the game! lol
By the way.....good job Pachuca on releasing Omar Arellano last year, that one turned out to bite u in the a-s-s-. lol.
I hope he succeeds. I've seen him play for pachuca and he has great technique and agility. He easily passes defenders and has a great shot outside of the box.
As for Orozco, the mexican-american community doesn't think positive or negative about him. We think he made the right choice in order become succesful in his career. What many Mexican-Americans don't admit, is that when it comes to competitions, the United States is our second team. We're not as passionate as when we see Mexico, but you have some passion to see the United States make it far. I remember I wanted the US to beat Germany in the 02 world cup after they had eliminated Mexico, and I was pretty pissed too when the US got robbed in that game. Even my dad, born in Mexico, was cheering for the US to win that game against Germany. And I think that little passion that we have for the USMNT is what makes some of these Mexican-American players chose to play for the US. Or I could be wrong and they couldve been die-hard Alexi Lalas fans which led them to like the USMNT.lol
And if I was Atletico, I'd do anything to make this player happy. He's already said that he is happy there. Now prove it by making him the highest paid player in the world!
What is Maradona doing? Shouldnt he be doing these jobs for Napoli? Aint that a stab in the back.
I believe that we will se change in that policy. With the contreversy of Jesus Padilla being born in Texas (supposedly) I think it will soon be anyone with Mexican ancestry. Or it should change because of the large number of Mexicans living in the United States.
As for coaches, Chivas has had international coaches throughout its history. I believe in the 50s they had an argentinan coach and even in the 70s.
I like the idea of Koeman because Mexico is notorious for reusing mediocre coaches. Teams recycle coaches and the same losing formula happens. Chivas would be different in that they wouldnt look outside, but train the people from the inside. Right now there isnt a "big name" assistant, such as Benjamin Galindo (Cruz Azul), Chepo De La Torre (Toluca), or Daniel Guzman (santos). With Koeman at least u have a fresh face, and not one of those recycled coaches.
Flores wasn't even the first candidate for coach when he was hired, the son of Chava Reyes was. They couldnt hire him tho because of his contract with Necaxa. Flores was an interim coach who previously worked in the youth system. He had a good run, but its time to pass the torch.
