Posted Saturday September 13, 2008, About: Why Rockies passed on Haren trade
O'Dowd has been on the short end of most of the trades he has ever made. Other GM's routinely get the better of him.

Joe Thomas is a premierr left tackle while there is some question if Long can perform at that level on the left side. Jake will be a powerful right tackle though>

Pound for pound the greatest NBA player in recorded history. Greater players have been mentioned, but not by reliable witnesses.

Oh, and lay off Truth Mr Bacon. Checking stats before posting is lame.

Too bad you don't have a stud running back Bacon to run behind that o-line.
Posted Saturday February 09, 2008, About: Latest Forsberg-to-Philly rumor
He will only play if he is 90% confident he can play at a high level. And if he plays it will be with the Avalanche. End of thread. Find another subject to post on. This one's done.
Posted Sunday January 20, 2008, About: Seahawks unhappy with Alexander
Connemara: I agree with you.People are pretty soft on the Seattle teams in general out here in Seattleland, but particularly the Hawks. The team itself is soft overall which may come from the fact that it only started a run when it was liberated from the AFC level of competition. When your schedule has two games each against the Rams, Cardinals, and Niners how much pressure is there to take chances in the draft or in free agency. Even in the AFC West, which has dropped recently, It is not likely Seattle would have won a single division title.

Posted Saturday December 22, 2007, About: Neuheisel back atop UCLA's list
In their search for Red Flags, I suggest UCLA check-in with the University of Washington and the University of Colorado. He inherited top-tier talent at Colorado and left little except NCAA sanctions. Washington is still trying to recover. It's pretty sad when the best the Bruins can attract is this guy. He's like a virus. A little bit of nucleic matter surrounded by bad news.
Posted Monday October 08, 2007, About: Piniella wants to deal pitcher
Truth...there you go again with that "sucks" word again, although it may be correct in this case. If you add me to your friends page I won't remind everyone that a couple months ago you said the Colorado Rockies sucked as badly as the Pirates.
Posted Monday September 03, 2007, About: Phillies to look for 3B help
The guy that Really needs trading to clear playing space is Todd Helton! Atkins would move to first with Ian Stewart at third. The Rockies would give Helton away if anyone would just take his salary off the books.
Posted Monday August 20, 2007, About: No takers for Packers kickers?
I watched Mason Crosby for four years. He routinely kicked off into and out of the end zone. A check of stats will show that a high percentage of misses were from beyond fifty yards. Some were fifty-five and more. His first three years he was an automatic inside of 45. His last year at Colorado he played on a 2-10 team and was not used as consistently and seemed to lose focus. He also did not impress at combine as one would have thought he would. Don't know what was up with that. If you're thinking he is a product of kicking at altitude at the University of Colorado, think again. I believe that he kicked the longest sea level field goal in NCAA history against Miami two years ago. The kids a class act.
Posted Friday August 17, 2007, About: Investigation fingers more NBA refs
I'm waiting for this summer's news to be bundled into one tidy, well wrapped package. NBA referees paid to influence games. Money needed to cover debts from wagers made on dog fighting. Final payoff to be made to all participants in Las Vegas. Money distribution plan went awry when Bag man became hungry and went to strip club to eat. Didn't like food. In attempt to return his order, handed money bag instead of plate to innocent bystander, Brady Quinn, who wildly overthrew waiter, bag struck pole, opened and here we are.
Posted Friday August 17, 2007, About: Raiders, Russell still not talking
What's the line on the kid's weight? Haven't read anything about working hard to stay in shape, and he didn't look shapely to begin with.
Posted Tuesday August 14, 2007, About: Rockies in market for pitching
Well, Truth I'm not sure where to begin. The Rockies are 61-56. That puts them above the sucketh level and smack in the middle of the needeth category along with those other teams who are several games over .500. They have a loaded farm system and they have a budget which is probably 1/2 to 1/3 of the Orioles. You're right of course about Baltimore. But to comfortably carry the moniker of The Truth, you must be right more than half the time.
Posted Friday August 10, 2007, About: Knee check for Redskins RB
Bailey should probably have been defensive player of year. Broncos also received second rounder which was Tatum Bell. With Bell being major part of trade with Detroit, Denver basically traded Portis for Champ Bailey and Dre'Bly. Portis has been the primadonna; Bailey is an exact opposite, team oriented, a low key superstar.
