Noahawk you call yourself an lifelong irish fan, but then you make absurd comments about them. Their is no way that you can possibly say that they have no talent look at the recruiting classes in the the years that Weis has been here, they have always been towards the top. Also on your statement about Clausen, you cannot call him an overated prospect because he has no athletic abililty. Look at the greatest quarterbacks of the passing era, and tell me how many of these quarterbacks were great athletes. Also if their is one thing of Jimmy Clausen that you can not fault it is his decision making. He has been brought up his entire life to become a quarterback, he has always had the best trainers which have enstilled great decision making in him. You can not fault him for having the intelligence to throw the ball out of bounds where most quarterbacks would hold onto the ball and end up losing 5+ yards. Now what you can blame Notre Dames struggles on this weekend is the running game. Notre Dame has three highly touted running backs in James Aldridge, Armando Allen, and Robert Hughes it is time for them to step up and take control of this team. As far as your statement about the offensive line goes their is plenty of talent their it is still just a fairly youg offensive line. Most teams that have a top offensive line are composed of seniors and 5th year seniors. So theirs nod need to worry about Notre Dames OLine, they will vastly improve this season. Bottom line is I think that this close game is being blown out of porportion. If you look back through SDSU's past few seasons you will realize that they have a tendency for stepping up against major teams.
