Arn't the Chargers like 25-7 in the regular season since Brees left (and 1-1 in postseason)? Maybe you think Brees is better right now than Rivers, BUT to keep Brees the Chargers would have had to take a HUGE cap hit which would have hurt them in many other ways (i.e. not being able to have room to sign Merriman, Castillo, Gates, Phillips.......down the road).....and Brees had gotten hurt at the end of the 2005 season (hurt a already weak throwing arm) which made it easy to decide. The people on this board need to understand trading Quinn is not much of an option b/c of the cap hit they will take that could cripple the team for years to come........Sounds like they are going to try to sign him to a long-term deal, play him one more year, then trade D Anderson to the highest bidder.

Choke city for the Titans.....If the Titans could have just gotten 1 point for every late hit they got away with in that game, they would have won BIG TIME!!!!!

Titans are just sad b/c their season was over b/c they could not hold a 14 pt lead with 8 mins left when the Chargers were playing without Merriman, Castillo, J Williams on defense....and A Gates and P Rivers were limping around.....i guess TEN is not near as tuff as they thought they were with late hit after late hit all game long.

Maybe he should have just gone to SD instead of crying that he would not play there.........then the Giants trade draft picks that result in P Rivers, N Kaeding, S Merriman, and Roben Oben to get him....of course they are expecting perfection b/c they gave up so much to get him. I think he would have had a way better overall carrer if he/his family would have kept their mouth shut and let the draft do what the draft does.

I'm a chargers fan...I think I would rather see Schaub go tomorrow.....Texans better get a little running game going b/c if they can't run, Schaub will have a long day under Shawn squared.
