Can't blame Michigan - This is the wave of the future. With the 85 scholarship rule, parity has arrived in college football, but our minds are bent on upholding the television darlings which ruled during the pre-85 scholarship rule. There are many good teams out there who fail to impress pollsters who are blinded by the branding identity of these elite schools and it doesn't help with media pundits like Kirk Herbstreit who defended Michigan, basically saying Michigan didn't show up.

If every game is a playoff Kirk, how can Michigan not afford to show up? I watched the game and Appy-State flat out out-played the Wolves, while Kirk was busy flying across the country. We need a playoff - more specifically a regular season playoff upholding the traditions of the bowl platform, while limiting the season length to the current 12-13 game structure!

USC will not finish as the number one team. There isn't a west coast team that could beat any of the SEC teams in the bowl games. They snubbed Auburn a few years back from playing USC. F USC
